That is an excellent tutorial. I try to stay away from the LEE molds with the newer style blocks though. I bought two & both of them literally fell apart. The alignment pins fell out & the staked...

I use them when I can get them. Never a problem with them. If I'm lucky I pick them up on ebay for cheap.

Had troubles with the Ipad in general. Went to the Samsung & never have an issue.
I have a number of LEE tools that I like very well including a number of their molds. I bought one of their first new style mold blocks & shortly thereafter one of the pins holding one of the mold...

Have always used Lyman #2 for all of my bullets. After paying premium price for 70/30 @ rotometals for a long time I decided to start using 40:1 for all of my sub-sonic loads e.g. .45 Colt, .44...

Ordered some Carnuba Red about six months ago just to try it. Great stuff! No smoke that I've noticed & accuracy is great. I use it in everything from my .45 Colt, .38 Special, 7.62 x 54R & my .444...
I'm not here to bash LEE molds as I have a number of them and they have served me well. But after buying several molds from both Tom & Mountain molds, I'm spoiled.

Looking for good honest opinions here. I'm shooting 1700 fps + with my .444 Handi-Rifle. Thinking about a harder lube. Pro's/Con's as to using Thompson's Blue Angel or Carnuba Red?
78788The mail lady came today & guess what she brought ? Yes, you guessed it, my new Accurate mold.
.361 dia., 125 gr. RF for my .38 Special. Tom had stated a four week turnaround but he never...
Believe it or not the 358-125-RF two cavity that I bought did the same.
Mountain Molds gives the option of a screw or stud & locknut. I really prefer the stud & locknut.
Melloroadman,
Mark has made a most gracious & generous offer. Take it & put this matter to rest.
Tom stands behind his products, hands down! He's an honest guy and if something is wrong with his products he WILL make it right. What he won't do is to put up with rude customers who have made...
If I were a tumble lube guy the bevel base would be fine. The bevel base has the advantage of sliding in the case easier and I like that option. But, I don't care for tumble lubing, not knocking it,...
There are so many really good mold makers out there. I prefer though, to use either Mountain Molds or Accurate. They just seem really geared up to tailor a given mold to suit one's needs.

I have a part number from McMaster-Carr for a replacement return spring for the #45 if any of you need it. It's a little bit stronger spring but works well. The only issue is that you have to buy...
I use the LEE 452-300-RF GC in my new model Blackhawk in .45 Colt. I load it with 10 grs. Unique. The Ruger Blackhawk has no problems handling this load. Substantial but controllable recoil & very...

I have two #45's & wouldn't trade them for anything. Love 'em!
I would think that LEE, upon receipt of the sprue plate problems would have already implemented the use of a high heat/high strength Loctite adhesive AT the factory. Although I am the owner of many...
I think that Tom can steer you in the right direction. I too have ordered molds . . . From LEE that most of the time have given me a fair amount of room to size, but then, once in a while there was...
