You have lots of options. The easiest is two Weaver scope bases on top #15 rear, #16 front. Then you can mount any Weaver rings on top. The existing holes on the side may fit a Weaver side mount base...

Use Alliant Black. I can shoot 20 from my 45-70 with no loss of accuracy. Then one smokeless round gets it 80% clean.

They are all horrible to shoot in a standard weight unbraked rifle. That's why the 338-06 is so popular, will kill anything in the lower 48, shot at an ethical range with the right j-bullet.
