Seems that most people don't go past the 220gr weight in the 10mm.
For me i've settled on the 200gr WFN. I bought the mould from NOE and load them over a near max charge of Blue Dot. They do...
for my Remington Model 7 I loaded a Hornady 200gr spire point bullet with 60gr of BL-C(2) and a magnum primer. It put 5 rounds into almost the same hole very consistently. It was listed as the max...
My mold came in today but won't have the chance to do any casting for a couple of weeks. Looks like it's going to be a nice bullet.
Mine is also pinned so i'm guessing i'm lucky as well because the cylinder throats are not oversized and the gun shoots well with bullets sized at .452 that I was using from my other 45s.
I...
Thank you for the link to the Linebaugh article. That was very informative. I didn't know that they could take the Ruger loads. Not that i'll try them in it but it's nice to know they could if it...
Just finished measuring the throats of my cylinder and the best I came up with is between .452-.453ish with my calipers and then pushing a .452ish unlubricated bullet through. The coated ones that...
I load two different 200gr cast bullets and the 200gr XTP. The first one is the RCBS and the second one is for NOE. The NOE is my preferred choice as it has a wide flat meplat. I have used Blue...
Thanks.
I will measure the cylinder throats and go from there. Is it common for them to be oversized?
Gents,
I just picked up a new to me S&W 25-5 and am looking for recommendations on loading. I have on hand the Lyman Devistator, Lyman 250gr gas check SWC, Lyman 335gr, Lee 300gr, RCBS 230gr CB,...
I shot a cylinder full of 125gr full power magnum. My pinky and ring finger went numb for weeks and took even longer for my full grip strength to come back.
I will agree with all the above...
I shot a Road Work Ahead sign which is 36"x 36" (was already at the range) at 500yds with one of my Lee Enfield rifles. I was using the Lyman 314299 over a max charge of 2400 powder I think it was. ...

I have three molds. The 405 hollow base Lee, the 450gr Lee, and the 405gr RCBS. Out of the three I think the RCBS does well enough. They all shoot well out of my rifle though.

I used BL(C) for several years in both 223 and 308 for my ARs. Now I use CFE223 and like it a little better. My AR with the Match Barrel I only use Varget and the 69gr SMK.
My least favorite is the .429 magnum.

I have tried the 110 Vmax in my Savage 340 and it worked pretty well. Never shot an animal with it but it was pretty darn accurate. The 125gr Sierra was accurate as well. I've never shot cast...

Love my Swede. It’s the CZ 550fs model.
Hopefully this year it will help my take a big mule deer.

The vast majority of Taurus complaints i've ever heard or read have been about their semi auto handguns. I have had a Model 66 revolver since 1991 and have put thousands upon thousands of factory...

I've used Winchester #4 Buck 3.5" from my Mossberg 835 utiliy mag. I tried one of the Dead coyote chokes but it threw a horrible pattern. Ended up the factory full choke worked the best. I tried...
I was in the process of building a 375H&H as a range/large game rifle but found a left handed 375 Ruger African for less than the cost of having a smith assemble my rifle.
I haven’t shot any cast...

A guy I met at the range several years back had several Dangerous Game Rifles. My favorites were the Ruger 458 Win Mag and a very nice double in 404 Jeffery. He had cast loads for all the rifles...

I bought a Ruger American All Weather in .308Win. Even with the cheapest 150gr FMJ surplus ammo I found it was putting 5 round groups into .75". With the Federal Match 168 SMK ammo I could shoot...

I bought a police trade in Sig P229 in 357 Sig. the finish is pretty beat up but the slide is tight, the bore is pristine, night sights still glow brightly, and it shoots very well. Picked it up for...
A friend and I bought a box of old bowling pins and the guy at the store warned us not to shoot them at close range cause they will shoot back. While I was loading my magazines my buddy started...
