I load 193gr cast with 6.1gr of Red Dot to get around 1085fps (Oehler chrony) out of a Revelation 225 (Savage 340C) with a 20" barrel. Last 3 shots from the bench measured 0.8" from 75 yards....

Not much activity, so I'll add my Blue Dot load data. I focus on milder loads with 180gr. bullets.
For a Ruger 77/357 (18 1/2" barrel):

6.5 BD = 1090 fps
6.8 BD = 1156 fps
7.0 BD = 1187 fps...

5.5 gr - 1090 fps - this is my preferred load as I prefer to stay subsonic.

I personally have never thought pre-positioning powder was necessary with Red Dot. I don't use any filler, either. I have never experienced any problems with the rounds igniting.
