One thing an inertial puller needs is a firm, that is unmovable surface, upon which to be thrashed.
I had a similar problem using my bench: when I started beating the puller on the concrete floor,...

I agree and I'll go one further: it is a dereliction of one's duty to not become and remain informed on all issues that affect us. As a citizen, WE are the owners of the country and our legislators...

This reminds me of the newsgroups when I was at Delphi (Delco Electronics). There were posts on the for sale groups on the order of:
o Free firewood - it's currently in the form of dead tree in...
The point is that S/H should represent the cost of shipping or shipping + a box and a label.
One can make the same point about a brick and mortar storefront: who pays for the guy to receive the...

Hopefully, we can do better than that.
In a perfect world, you would have slugged the barrels of the rigs that you'll be using to launch said projectiles: many suggest that you should use boolits...

I have used candle wax, marvelux(hydroscopic), pine resin, sawdust, wood stirring stix, high carbon content deceased rodents, and various and sundry magic concoctions.
By far, stearic acid is the...

Just about every Lee mold I have ever owned needed some work to produce consistently good bullets. I think most Lee molds suffer from poor venting. Many times, I get good bullets from 4 or 5...

I don't know if it's true, but I have been told bevel base bullets were invented to make machine sizing or bullet seating easier.
One possibility that I didn't see in the above posts was to use a...

I think if you throttle back on the velocity, they wont explode and many are recoverable

I think the seller should describe what these molds are. They are rejected HG 68 copies.

Lead market is under 40cents right now and surpluses are increasing. Lead was under 50cents for the last 20 years or so and spiked up recently to over $1.50/lb.
I think 25 cents is pretty good....

It works for me. I have reclaimed jacketed bullets downrange and the jackets had a lead coating on them. So, it does work, but I don't know how effective it is. I usually shoot a few jacketed...

I received my new mold yesterday. The fit and finish look good. I have not cast out any engineering development units yet.
I sent mine in the first week of Nov.

Take the load you have now and work up in 0.2 grain increments. Check for reliable cycling of your action, the case ejection pattern, and accuracy. Work up slowly. I'd suggest loading up 10 or 12...

I'm such a worrier that I always make a trip to the casting area a few hours after I'm done to check the pot and verify that everything is unplugged and has cooled off.
That is a very sweet...

I think if the bullet groups well in a properly crafted load and creates no feeding problems due to dimensions not exactly that of a HG68, I am OK with it. From what I have read, the nose length is...

My experience has been similar to jonk. I have had leading when I used my standard hard (15-17 BHN) alloy in 45acp. I have seen two kinds of leading in my rigs:
1) ribbons of lead that try to...

I made a screen out of two layers of 1/4" hardware cloth. I offset them so that the holes were about 1/8". It's not perfect and I don't get .22 bullets, but I do get a lot of rocks. I put legs on...

I think someone posted here a few months ago about using stearic acid. I got some of e[vil]-bay and a little dab will do ya. I have used marvelux, pine resin, sawdust, and paraffin. Paraffin is...

If you get leading just past the chamber in the barrel, your alloy is too hard for the velocity and/pressure you are getting with this load. I noticed this on some powder puff loads I made for...

I like this.
I alloy up 125-150# and place a cardboard ID with the allow/hardness info in the bucket. I have a hard alloy for 38 super, 357, a much softer alloy at BHN~10 for 45 ACP and W/Cs...

I assume docone is referring to rosin (pine sap based I believe) flux, as opposed to acid flux. I think some plumbers use acid flux. I have always used rosin flux for electronic and copper pipe...

Solder flux works very well. On some alloys, after I clean all of the chaff out of the alloy, I add scrap solder. The rosin flux works very well. The stearic acid fluxing gave me similar results.
