Is it necessary to replace the front sight when you the peep on, or can the front post be used?

So my eyes are also on their way and I have been thinking about putting a rear peep on. Are there any preferences to using the Lyman 57 over the T/C tang site? Or are they pretty much the same.

I tried the Lee 356 124 tc for my Sig p226, but was getting keyholes. After slugging the barrel (.356) it quickly became apparent that I needed a fatter boolitic closer to 358.

Been there, done that. As others have stated, just brush it off and pour. Unless for some reason you feel the need to have perfect looking ingots.
