I've done several using Green Mountain barrel blanks using the "Remage" system. It basically mimics the Savage with the interchangeable barrels simply by using a lock nut. There is no indexing, you...

I made one for 45-70. Of course, having a mill with a digital readout makes it nice and quick.

I build all sorts of 9mm AR's. Here's a little PDW I built. It is a registered short barreled rifle due to the stock. This one used the Colt style 32 round mags.

I've built dozens of 9mm's, .40's, 10mm's and .45 AR's.
Easiest and cheapest way to do it is to buy a complete lower and then whatever upper you want. Palmetto State Armory has what they call...

I used a 9mm barrel blank from Green Mountain. I profiled it, chambered it, fluted it and threaded it for a can. It shoots great.

Easy...they never seem to have much torque on them.
I've built several 9MM's using that action. Open up the bolt face about .020, reprofile the feed ramp and swap out the barrel. Not hard to do.

I've done a few dozen and never had an issue, they really aren't any different that anything else. Depending on the caliber, you may have to cut an extraction groove but I don't see that as a big...
I sold a dozen of them for 105.00 bucks each.
Its not the quietest silencer on the market by for 105.00 each, many bought them on the spot. I have one a Ruger .22/45 for anyone that wants to shoot...

I do several a week. Go check out my Facebook page "Bailey Signature Firearms" and look at some of the videos and pictures. I deal in suppressors so I also thread lots of barrels. I charge 90.00...

I have actually but ammo around here is virtually non existent.

I'm considering building a 5.7 bolt action rifle, probably on a Remington 700 frame.
I think it'd be a great cartridge for shooting suppressed.
Can anyone think of a reason not to?

Technically not the forcing cone, but the barrel gap was minimized to reduce the gas escaping. I just made it longer than the factory barrel.
Feel better now?

Have not measured it but its definitely an improvement. And yes, you can actually hear the difference which is significant.
Just regular "K" baffles.

That's what I thought too. The goal was to make it hearing safe. Everyone that has shot it agrees that its there. So maybe it's not so pointless?
Forum: Special Projects
Doesn't seem like it. Some does blow by but to minimize that I lengthened the forcing cone a bit to shorten up the gap.

Now off to another subject...has anyone tried this bullet at subsonic velocity's to be shot through a suppressor?
That might be an interesting setup.

Thanks. Looks like the 1/14 might be the way to go for the .308, which I have a gazillion cases of. If that'll spin a cast lead bullet at 2700 FPS, with any accuracy, this could be a wonderful deer...

Thanks for the advice gentlemen. Any thoughts on a .308 chamber with a 1/8 twist? Would that be too fast ya think? I have a bunch of .30 cal barrel blanks but most of them are 1/8 for the numerous...

Yo Tim I will do that. What twist are you using? I've got several .30 cal barrels laying around.
