Yes, there are many combinations that can have the same hardness, within the range that is possible:
Pb = BHN 4-5
Pb & Sn = BHN 5-17
Pb & Sb = BHN 5-50+
PB & Sn & Sb = BHN 5-50+
An alloy...

Nope, you're good. You can't overcook it in a Lee pot. When the alloy slumps and you pull on it, you are seeing the partially crytsaline structure of the alloy.
Just realize that every time you...

I use an aluminum pan about 8" around, and 6" deep, with a propane torch. I like to keep my Pewter seperate, meaning I'll melt down a piece, and not mix it with the Pewter from other pieces.
As...

Well, it's only because the original poster was asking about hardness. If you want hard bullets, all you have to do is water drop them out of the mold. This will work with any alloy, except dead...

It's not really a question of accuracy, just realize that the hardness of lead alloys continually change over time. The temperature is not creating the hardness, but the crystalline structure...

It's not impractical. Everytime you melt your alloy, some of the Antimony comes out. This happens whenever air reacts with the alloy. If you Aerate the alloy, you'll get more of this reaction.

Aerate the alloy, just above it's melting point, Lead Oxide and Antimony will come out of the mixture and sit on top of the alloy. Simply skim this off, like you would Dross with a spoon.

Sb is harder to work with. You can't simply cut off a chunk, and melt it in.
I've made 2 Pb:Sn:Sb alloys that originally hardened, then got softer over time:
95:4.9:0.1 - Was BHN 8 at 1 day,...

Take a look at my Pb Sn chart. It isn't a straight line. If you chart what comes out of the alloy calculator, it's a straight line. It's not possible to create a simple formula to emulate this.

I've never tried to bend the 3/8" thick elements, but if you have the thin wire ones, they bend just fine. As for the electronics, you will need to find an old stove where the controls themselves do...

The calculator is only accurate in the linear part of the curve (final BHN of 11 to 14). Also, you can't measure fresh lead.
Pewter is mostly Tin (Sn), but can contain trace amount of Antimony...

I've used 1000's of S&B primers. One of my favorite primers! Extremely good reliability.
As others have said, your primers are not seated. Looking at your 45ACP's, put a metal straight edge...

Metallurgy in itself is quite complex. When you apply this to guns, it becomes even more complex. I'm not a Metallurgist, just an engineer that has been trying to understand the alloy aspect for...

Pure Pb has a melting point of 620 degrees. Linotype (84% Pb, 12% Sb, 4% Sn) has a melting point of 480 degrees, which is the lowest of any alloy typically used in boolit casting.
You are likely...

It's a .442 Webley.
I didn't think it would fly either, but I thought I'd ask before I wasted any time at it.

A buddy of mine asked me if I could size my Lee TL452-230-2R lead boolits, which typically drop at .452" down to .436".

I use 2 stroke oil. It won't boil off as easily as regular oil.
No it's not metric. That's a 1/4-28 thread.
The bolts used for the sprue and kick out plate are different lengths. The shoulder for the sprue is smaller than the other one.
The bolts for the sprue and kick out arm look the same, but they are different.
Either the bolts are mixed up, or they put the wrong one on the sprue plate.

I have trouble with Aluminum 6 hole Lee molds. They gall at the sprue swing point, even when lubricated every time. Eventually they warp after about a year of use.
I've taken them apart,...

I used to have a leading problem, even bought Lewis Lead removers. Soaking for long periods of time with Hoppes #9, and brass brushing worked eventually.
Then I saw the light, and started Powder...

2nd vote on the Armor All, but I put it in with my pins.
I ultrasonic my brass with a tablespoon of Lemi Shine and a squirt of Simple Green. My goal here is to get my primer pockets perfectly...

Might be a little soft, unless you are Powder Coating.
I just got 35 pounds from my dentist. Came in at BHN 9, which is hard enough for my 38, 357, 45's and Powder Coating.

Throw some in a bucket, and wash it with the hose. Dirt will be easily displaced, and you can pour off the lighter stuff. Lead will stay on the bottom.
Use a propane torch to see what you've...
