Tom has the same nose profile in several different weights,up to 540 grains. I have one in a 490 gr. version. It's a really good thumper,and accurate too.

Sounds like we're comparing a properly loaded slug gun to 45-70 backyard beer can loads. I shoot a 470 gr. @ 1650 fps. from a Henry single shot and it's not near max. My son shoots the same boolit...

I think a 200 gr @ 1200 fps is the same as a Winchester 200 gr power point factory load for a 44-40 rifle, not my choice.

Wasted bandwidth right from the start.

Pull the butt stock off, cut down the OD of a 1/4 inch washer and put it under the hammer spring. That worked well for me.

All my Rugers out of the box had more than enough creep in the trigger. I would rather have a crisp heavier pull than a lighter one with creep. The 69 I got 3 years ago has the best trigger by far...

Mine also slugs at .456, shoots .458 gas check 475 gr. Very accurate with zero leading.
