Mk42gunner described using a one inch piece of 1/4’ rod as a top punch for multiple calibers. Would that work on the lyman 45 too? Has anyone tried it? A picture would be helpful too.

I’ve used unique with my NEF single shot and never tried any other. 100yds or less and the recoil is less than a 20 ga. Slug to me.

I’d start by pulling a few of your reloaded rounds and measure the boolit in comparison to a your boolit size prior to reloading it. My guess is you are swaging the boolit down in the reloading...

I’ve stuck 2 of 223 cases using a spray lanolin type lube. Once switching to imperial lube I never had one stick. I save that spray lube for other cases.

The punch that I use in the lyman lubesizer is a NOE for the .223. I can give you more specifics later but it came with the NOE 55 gr mold. Works perfectly. I’m not PC ing these boolets.

Advancing the plate is a matter of setting everything up correctly. There is one plastic part involved that flipper piece which can get wornout if you are having problems. I keep several on hand to...

They can be finicky but once you get it going make a bunch. Nice and steady pace is key. Have fun.

I deprime on a single stage press to avoid all the dirt fouling up the LM. Then clean the brass. I will spray a little lube on them before loading up the shell mechanism justs keeps them moving...

LM do take patience and tinkering to run smoothly. But when you get it smooth it will make good ammo and pretty fast. What troubles are you having? Have you tried the videos on set up and running it?...

I have the lube die .358 and the o-ring is brittle and split. Will any o- ring work or is it an rcbs item!?

Graybeards forum has all the info, tips etc. you could ever need on these rifles. The fit of barrel to receiver is the key to fixing the opening after firing problem.

In mine I shoot trapdoor type loads. Recoil is about the same as a 20 ga. Slug. 350 gr lead or 405 gr both will kill deer to 100 yds if I do my part. Good fun!
