If its a dillon funnel....the short pistol funnels were used with the 450 push/pull machines where the funnel was fixed at the top of the powder die with a set screw.

Try this next...remove the decaping assembly from your sizeing die and then resize a case.

I think your expander ball is set to high in the die and what is causing your problem.

Yes under the mag button is a pin with a spring over it...you depress the pin a little and unscrew the button off to disassemble the catch...so be careful...the underside of the button...
