I found I needed a set of .460 dies because the rim of the .460 case is just a little bigger than the rim of the .45 and .454. 45 Colt dies are good for both the 45 Colt and 454.

Great post ...One thing I have not seen mentioned is the need to bell the mouth of the case slightly before seating the boolit. This step is absolutely nessasary if not done, the case mouth will...
I bought a Hi-Point 40S&W and shoot 175 Lee TC's out of it. The gun is heavier than most 40's and is not a CCW, but, it is loads of fun to shoot, reliable and inexpensive.
Yes, thanks for the info. I have been using Unique and Bullseye behind a Lee 175 gr. (which cast closer to 180 gr) I'm going to try Power Pistol
I found some 40 S&W Wolf cases at the range the other day and thought I would give them a try. The amount of pressure needed to size the cases is about double compared to brass. I'm using a set of...
Get a Lee beam scale and get the measurement accurate. I haven't seen any of the "cheapo" digitial that were worth throwing out the window. Plus being INaccurate. You need to be careful where you "go...

I agree with Wildcat on the water drop. If you do continue with water drop, try puting a towel or rag over the bucket and cut a slit in it about 2 inches long, allowing the boolits to drop into the...

+1 jh45gun....works well for me on my Lee, Lyman and Saeco moulds. You might try inverting the mould and then give the hinge bolt a tap. This works on a Lee .311 150 grain mould I have. The mould had...

Yes Sir, fine looking boolits. I own a Lee melter that is almost 30 years old and it is still going strong. Welcome to the addiction, as snaggdit so aptly put it.

I have used linotype for years..I use half lino and half wheel weigh (w/clips and ingoted out) make a boolit that is harder than woodpecker lips and shoots well in my 300 Win Mag at about 1800 f.p.s...
