Loading for an AR, 55 grn FMJBT.
Definitely aware of the mil spec vs canister grade powder differences. Will work up some loads, and report my results.
Thanks for your input.

Very good to go, except for making my wallet much lighter recently...

Anyone have any experience or info about one of the powders FN used in 223 55 grain loads (26 grains) that looks to be showing up at some of the usual sites?
Price is extremely attractive, but...

Would it be better to use a brass tipped set screw instead of the lead shot? Not sure if the mold itself will get hot enough to melt the lead ball when filling the mold with casting lead, but could...

Necroing an ancient thread, but is this the same Expansion Industries?

I have 2 650's to load with (large primer/small primer), and a S1050 for processing brass on. Plus several single stage presses for various tasks.
I very much like the 650.
Forum: Cast Boolits
To get that large, you may need one of the presses capable of 1-1/4 12 large dies, and then have a custom die and pusher made for it.

I have an older Annealeze, would strongly consider a Mike's Reloading Bench one if buying today.

Me too. When I first got in this game, they were one of my go to vendors with very competitive prices and often good deals. After the sale, they no longer offered anything I needed...

Not smug, but temporarily comfortable, knowing my current inventory is a finite entity, and will eventually need replenishing.
For some of the extremely popular, and great performing profiles, I wonder if there would be any value in laser scanning the cavities and making some CAD models? Might be worth it to get new...

I've had it happen a couple times, most recently today...
You might pull the aluminum case feeder slide out (it's the piece that conveys the brass to the shell plate when being pushed by the case...

Both creators bring something to the table, and I have learned a lot from them that got me to actually go out and try/experiment in my casting endeavors. As far as my opinion of just watching the...

Entirely Crimson has pretty good stuff from my experience with other parts I have ordered.

My first press was/is a Dillon 650, and evolved into 2 650s and a 1050 (and several single stage RCBS). 1050 is used for case prep on bottle neck rounds. I prefer loading on the 650(s). All the...
Since I PC all my castings, I'd definitely be in for some NLG designs in my selections (especially 45, 9mm, and 357).
I also wish they would offer up a version of the 312-155 even with the...

I have a pro 4-20, and with my PID I put on it, it will hold +/- 3 to 5 degrees, at least until I put to much cold lead in and "freeze" the melt. Mine occasionally drips, but I just keep a Lee ingot...

They definitely have some good prices. How are they to do business with?

I've been seeing a lot of out of stock listings on primers at most of the usual vendors named above. Some are ok, some are out, some you have to potentially take a non preferred brand. I picked up...
Necro'ing an old thread, but a good replacement for the wave washers on a Lee 6 cavity mold is for an M8 DIN137A (or DIN 137 type A). 0.5mm thick, for a nominal M8 bolt. A DIN137B is 0.8mm thick,...

Titan Relaoding has a Dillon press sale going on until 12/31. Worth investigating (makes a 9mm 550c $450). I have also seen posts that Dillon will be raising prices on 1/1/20, so you may want to...
