I use 19grns of IMR4227 under a .410 Gualandi launching wad with a .38 Ball and its works really well.
they look great, can't wait to see the results .. fingers X'd
I did have a go with this type of thing and 3D printed Sabots, but had awful results. I assumed it was because I was using smoothbore, but maybe just an awful design :-)
My sobot released the...
Following along with interest, the idea of modding the lee slug mould and central pin sounds like an interesting project.
Sorry, yes confusing. I used which pics I had to hand, I made two types of 10g Slug. There isn't much in the performance of each, but the shorter ribbed one (ooo errr) is better with the wad. Both...

About a month ago I was shooting my 10g (smooth bore 24 1/2" H&R, no sights I just look down the barrel) and there were a couple of guys shooting a steel deer at 200yards practicing for stalking. We...
Yes I have spent a lot of time on this and could have just bought them .. however it's fun to do the testing and dev.
I updated my load slightly and got a lot better results.

I had the same issue using 444 and Magtech .410 brass whilst trying to use known good loads from plastic hulls and RMC brass hulls. I put it down to fire forming and then the .410 wads and volumes...
I have'nt no, but have thought about it.
The two reasons I didn't, The damage was small and the wads release cleanly and early, and I wanted as much of the available wad column for the fins as I...
Got it .. will take a few days as I'm in the UK .. but on their way ...
I just can't get the real ones locally. However I have tried at least a couple of copies, and some were good and some bacd. The MEC were the best I could get.
Same, excited to see the results on these new ones
you can with a lot of fiddling and setup. You are better spending 350 to 450 at the moment on a better brand one.
I tired the CB1100 wads but had wild fliers and the wads weren't to clever on recovery. I think the Cushion is far to soft for the slug and recoil.
I have much more luck with the CB2118 as the...
I think a lot of this tale wads improvements are in making the 1oz Lee slug nose heavy.
(Although two interesting notes. 1. This wads doesn't make much difference to the Lee 7/8oz at all, and 2....
Yes, I have tried a few different designs, but this works the best.

I made to changes to my existing load. One was kind of by accident and one out of annoyance, but the effect has been great.
I shot the 5 below free standing ay 50 Meters, and as I was just...

Thanks .. the reason I grabbed this was the condition, no pitting at all .. it must have been lightly used and stored very well. The bores look like they were make last year. I look up that book...
