Blasphemy! You need to remedy that situation.

I use AA#9 for heavier loads in 10mm, 44mag, and 45 colt.

I'm happy for Dan......but sad for us. Kicking myself for procrastinating and not ordering some MM molds for my .44mag Rossi R92. Today I tried to go to Dan's site to design and order the molds. ...

I put XS sights on my Henry X 45-70 as well as on my Marlin 336's. I like a peep sight, and also like a longer sight radius.

Have you chronographed that load out of those two rifles? The higher the velocity, the higher the rotational speed of the bullet for a given rifling twist. Could well be that your 20" barrel pushes...

Same suggestion with one of the Remington Rolling Block or Winchester/Browning 1885 single shot reproductions.

I you don't get an answer here, try contacting HRA. Years ago I had a question about the barrels on their .44mag Golden Boy. They got back to me with an answer the same day.
I've used a 2x LER scope on my 7.5" .44mag SRH (bought new in 1994) for load development. It consistently shot 4-5moa when I did my part. Never got comfortable or fast shooting it with a scope...
I agree completely. I also was eyeing the DW .44mag revolvers back then. They were more expensive than the Anacondas, and my local FFLs were having a hard time getting them through their...

Another thought; If you really want to have some fun with those young'ns with their 6.5creed AR's, then how about picking up one of the various 1874 Sharps replicas? That'll get you a long barrel...
I should have bought an Anaconda back in the early '90s when they were $700-ish. Now they're scarce, and listed for original series Python money......
Seating depth will make a significant difference in pressures too. One of my favorite loads with a 300gr Hornady XTP jacketed bullet was 21.5gr of H110 whith the bullet was seated to the front...

The Marlin Model 62 Levermatic was made in .22 Rem Jet, .256 Winchester, .30 Carbine, and .357 mag.
I don't think the Model 62 was quite long enough for .22 Hornet........or they would have...

A 240Gr bullet out of a .44mag levergun will kill any deer with good shot placement at reasonable distances. Doesn't need to expand either. A flat nosed 240gr bullet is preferable to a round nose...

LOL.
A friend has a BHA Model 89. 500SW Mag in a levergun just a bit bigger than a Winchester 1892. Expensive for sure, but an heirloom quality example of functional art in steel and walnut. ...
A forster Co-Ax press has tremendous leverage and would make resizing much easier. Just another option....

My favorite HRA rifle is the only one I own (so far). An X model H010X 45-70. When all the craziness dies down and prices/available stock return to normal, I plan to pick up an H012X in .44mag. ...

What velocity are you getting out of that 250gr .401SL load?

Crippling lawsuits. Biggest one comes from the Sandy Hook shootings. An activist judge allowed families of the victims to sue Remington (owner of Bushmaster) and others for the criminal misuse of...

Only ONE lever action rifle??? Absurd!
I have .45-70, .44mag, .30WCF, and .35Rem leverguns, and don't plan on parting with any of them. As I interpret this thread and poll, this is a...
As long as you have sufficient clear pavement behind you and unlock the brakes, you should be fine.:-D
Do you shoot a lot of cast bullets through it? If you do, does the comp lead up much?
