Check out RMR Bullets. They sell bullet cores at a reasonable price ($1.67 per pound or lower). The alloy has 2.5-3% antimony, so you just need to add some tin. Plus the small pieces are easy to...

Rotometals sells pure antimony in several forms.

The lead from RMR is just about perfect for casting pistol boolits. You just need to add some tin and you're good to go. At about $1.50 per pound it is probably the best price you can find online...

It isn't a program, but it's just an Excel spreadsheet. So you should be able to open it with any program that opens microsoft office files. Try Apple's program called "Numbers".

I just throw them in my scrap brass bucket and I've never had an issue. As long as there is no steel mixed in there it should be fine.
How much does 2 jugs of primers weigh?

You could try some Hardball (2% tin, 6% antimony) from Missouri Bullet for $2.18/lb plus $16 priority shipping per 66 lbs.

The rotometals formula should calculate the hardness of each custom alloy line off to the right of each line. Then the total mixture hardness is displayed at the bottom right.

Has anyone ever tried tumbling jackets to brighten them up? Either in vibratory or rotary tumbler or even a cement mixer might do the trick.

One of the members here (BNE) can do that for you

You have two alloys that are almost pure lead, so I'd just mix them together and call it pure.
Your 1% tin, 3% antimony alloy is already ready to shoot for most pistol alloys or you could even cut...

The ratio argument mentioned above from both points of view has gone on for many years. I contacted rotometals a while back to settle the matter and they confirmed that that they mix 20 pounds of...

The results you are seeing are correct.
If you add 100 lbs of your custom alloy (3% tin, 7.9% antimony, 89.1% lead) and 36.5 lbs of pure lead, you get the following alloy:
- - - - 136.5 lbs of...

I got similar results to Kevin C.
To make hardball using your base alloy:
1.5 lbs superhard + 7.5 lbs base alloy + 1 oz pure tin will give you an alloy with 2% tin, 6.2% antimony, and 91.8% lead.

Try a Lyman ladle. They have a hole in the side that basically allows you to pour from the bottom of the ladle and avoid the film.

563° = solder (10% tin & 90% lead)

504° = solder (30% tin & 70% lead)...

Maybe you can add a steel plate inside the boolit trap so the next batch gets flattened by themselves.
I have lined them up in a vise and hit them with a chisel, but I don't get that many to deal...

This is a good point. He needs to double box it and tape up both boxes.
You can fit one medium flat rate box inside of another one.

Ask them for a price and go down from there. More than likely they won't get more than...
