Look into IMR Trail Boss powder. It is my favoite for light loads in 45-70, no need to worry about fillers either.

I only have CCI primers, but the small and large rifle are yellow and the pistol ones are orange.

Your boolits are way too small diameter for 45-70. I size mine for my guide gun to .459, even at .458 they were too small for mine.

BTW, I cast the Lee 350 and size to .459, over 14.5 grn...

I like mine, but I am a bit biased. I got mine for free, it was made in 1983 and runs great.

My "softball" laod for my Guide gun is 13 grn Trailboss under a 350 grain cast from WW. Sounds subsonic, but I have yet to chrono it.
