I never had any trouble with range brass until I got a SA range officer in 9mm. It has a very tight chamber but factory brass functions fine. I picked up a lee 9mm bulge buster that uses a makarov...

I have an early Win 375 BB. Have not used it in years but I remember to bore to be .377. I used the 'modern' 38-55 brass that was in between the old 38-55 and the 375 lenghts. I did a chamber cast...

Hadn't really thought about the throat, new would be a plus. Don't think I have enough material though. There is about .2 stock after the threads before the barrel taper starts. Could go the .2 plus...

Found a nice savage 110l in 243 a while back. Thought about a 6.5 creedmore but I came across a 308 model 10 barrel the other day. Since the old barrel has a counterbore that makes clearance for the...

I have an old IAB sharps with what I think they called a 'ball seat' throat. I have to expose at least 2 lube grooves to touch the rifling. You have to be careful about dirt and such but it makes a...

I had a winchester 1895 in 30US (30-40 krag). Can't remember when it was made but the bore had seen better days. I had good luck with the lyman 314299 @ .312. I've since sold it to a friend who...

I had a hard time keeping stock of these when I was shooting cowboy action. The local club had a thing for big bores and you had the option on each stage. I would cast 30:1 and pan lube. Dropped @...

I'd check your throat / bore. If it's anything like my 340, .312s would be perfect. If you do decide on smaller, lube them first @.312 then go smaller. Keeps the grooves from collapsing.

I think I would try pouring a bit more lead a bit longer. That will make sure the plate stays hot. Not as neat and you pour back more lead but good bullets are more important that tidy sprues.

Five feet was just an even number after I cut the pieces off for the legs and side support. Still have a 10 ft length if I need it longer.
I also figgered to place sand bags on the legs. It is...

Thanks for all the sugestions. Made me think about how I wanted to proceed.
First - Wood. This was a project for the miller hot glue gun. I can work with wood very well but this is a steel project....

Putting together a scope stand, hope to use it for Service Rifle matches. Used 3/4 inch tubing X .125 and some .125 scrap I had. Trying to figure if I need a slider to the scope mount itself or just...

Don't remember where I came across it but I read that the chambers are oversize to allow the cartridge to feed smoothly. I have had 2 rossi and two Marlins that seemed to be very large as compaired...

I found a 223 high wall a few years back. My only complaint is that I don't get enough time to shoot it. Trigger didn't seem to bad, shot under an inch @100 yards with jacketed ammo. I later found...

I had a browning highwall 'Traditional Hunter" that had regular barrel sights and a Marbles tang peep. I put a lyman globe sight on to slightly raise the front sight to allow the marble sight to work...

I have used both the lyman and rcbs design in my 35rem 760. I have not shot it in a while but I rememeber using the rcbs more and had no feeding problems. Thing is, it was mostly 'targets of...

I have a BLR in 358 like MDF99. Good shooter, but I'll admit it doesn't get much range time. IF it is the older style, check the magazine VERY carefully. I found my rifle a the Reno show a few years...

Pat,
I was at the Reno Show and made a valiant effort to find your table before disgust (at prices) and hunger set in. I failed. Saw NVC and BruceB, they gave me some directions but no luck. I know...

I was at Scheels on Saturday in Sparks, NV. They had a pretty good supply of primers for $46.99/ 1000. Think I'll stick with 22lr for a bit longer. Did have a good supply of powder though, picked up...

I have the earlier version, the 760. My carbine feeds just about everything but my older(1952) has a step on the barrel that lead boolits don't like. I normally shoot a 311466 over 20 gr of 2400....
I am seeing only .003 expansion on the first .250 of my fired brass with my model 40. I would have got back sooner but a wasp decided to sting me on the side of my nose. (ouch!)

I have to wonder about that also. With my Savage 40 I only partialy resize my cases (winchester) just enough to seat the bullets. I normally...

Providence Tool has a model #21. I would have one on my Browning 95 if they had drilled
the reciever. Need to get that done RSN.

I still have it ... somewhere. Looked in last place I saw it and I guess I moved it. I'll have to look around a bit. Didn't know there was a style.
I'll get back to you.
