Looks pretty cool, anyone else using one or some other induction machine?

I just picked up a nice, very early, Swiss Vetterli model 1878, 10.4 x 38, rifle converted to centerfire.
What do you use for cartridge boxes?
Brand?
Round count 20 or 50?
I have some:

This close to Christmas it's great that you experienced your own "miracle".
(having a very cool gun you passed on buying still there when you came back later to buy it)
Glad to hear you finally...

Just to add an update.
I spoke with Magma today 9/30/22 & they still do not have any heating elements.
They are not taking orders for machines.
Large & small machines all use the same heating...

I have used coconut charcoal 20/50 size.
It looks about the same size as 3F Black Powder so it meters well & compresses about the same.

Like Prairie Cowboy said & add that they also cut a notch out of the dustcover rail at some point, possibly for a sight although it still has one on the barrel.
I don't see a forward dovetail for...

Just my opinion, but as one who has had a few crowns done & never liked the experience, to me Pyrodex smoke smells just like burning teeth.
It can turn a fun outing into a flashback of dental work &...

While not .300 Win mag in horsepower, I did get a box of .25-35 Winchester that had 3/4 of the box shot in a .30-30 Winchester.
Only one split, some others had dents from powder grains & generally...

How would that be for case forming, any advantage?
I would think the travel would be a minus but the handle length a plus?

Good luck on your new Winter project.
Some parts turn up on E-Bay that vary from reasonable to unbelievable depending on the day & the part.
I found an original follower for a 45-60 I had once for...

Thanks, I haven't managed to find a .410 crimphead for even half of reasonable yet.
I haven't had to load any .410's yet so it's still o.k.
Looks like finding a "holder " will be tough though.

Interesting thread (including the #5 info.).
Did all the Lyman trimmers start out with the "complete" belt drive & crank wheel set-up like the excellent one dsh1106 pictured?
If so, modifying...

Just curious, ow much was "cheap" for the 1881?
Very cool gun.

Farmbif has it right as I know.
I have one, neat rifle but rimfire ammo is very high (IMHO) & .32 Short Colt hard to get & .32 Long Colt really hard to get.
I'm still looking for brass for .32...

Scott,
Do you have anyone you know that could make me a copy of that final crimp part you sent me a pic of?
If so, what in goods or $ they would want to make one?
Forum: Reloading Equipment
Scott, thanks but I do have the 2 in the press, just wondering if any other old or new loaders had brass bushings that could be trimmed down to fit.

Updates,
Big thanks to Scott for taking time to send me great pics & dimensions of the missing final crimp inner plug.
Bad news, my pre-crimp assembly is also missing,
good news, Scott said his...

Yes, it would be great if Starline would make a run of 25-20 SS.
It's great that they make many old calibers, .41 LC, .32-20 Win., 38-55 Win etc.

Pressman ,
Thanks, even though the "lids" on the press look short, a "regular" Mason/Ball jar lid fits.
I have some vintage clear ones that are even older than the press that are pretty good...

Just a thought... as long as you have one good/factory washer that fits the hole, you should be able to put "substitute" washers behind it as needed. Even if the "substitutes" are smaller (as long...
