I bought a 460 the other day and of course, it has the lock.
I haven't ever removed one and thought I'd ask before I take the plate off.
Anyone done it?

I tested it yesterday with Buffalo Bore 255 grain ammo (I haven't decided what Boolits to use yet).
Accuracy is great. Recoil isn't bad. About like my 44's.
The ejection pattern is erratic but...

How did you do it? I've been at it for over 6 hours total. It takes 20 seconds or so to install the 20# but I've tried every technique known to man and that 24 pounder just won't go in.

I found the part and installed the 20# spring. I'm calling Wolf tomorrow because the 24# has to be the wrong spring. It simply can't be installed.

My wife bought me a 450 Rowland conversion for my birthday. I was really looking forward to it. Now I'm thinking about sending it right back to Brownells.
I stripped the 1911 and installed the new...

Problem solved, Two heavy duty Ratchet straps and the steel frame off of an old snow plow made the vise.
An end of the world size pipe wrench and a 5 pound hand sledge made the...

That would get the valve off, but I need the threads to screw a breech plug into.

I'm finally starting to build my bowling ball cannon. I have an O2 tank.
I can't get the stupid valve off. It won't budge. I called Arcet today to see if they would pull it and got the "You'll...
Thanks ED!
Actually I was interested in the lead slug above it. Both have a similar profile.

I have a couple of H&R Ultra Slug guns.
One has been rechambered for 3.5 (12ga) and I ran across a peep sight for it several years ago.
The peep fits the scope mount holes so that's done.

It's pretty much worthless in 45 Colt.
It may make a good tackle box gun so I'll give you $50.00 for it.[smilie=l:
James, thanks for the information. I've been following it for a long time.
Question for anyone.
Has anyone tried these in a rifled barrel and what were the results.

I don't have a chronograph Bob, so technical results aren't possible.
The cons are:
It sounded a little more dead than Swiss.
It is a LOT dirtier than Swiss
The POI at 100 yards which is...

I just got an older imported .54 Sharps that uses paper cartridges.
Can someone point me in the right direction making them?
Thanks

Yeah, it was pricy but I've always wanted one. The Virginia Historical Society in Richmond has about a dozen originals. When I was building the Manufactory of Arms rifle, the curator...

I finally took the plunge on a LeMat, unfired but it's part of an estate and they didn't have the box or owners book.
Any Idea where to find one?

It's been a couple of years since I bought barrels from his son Mark DeHaas, but I bought all of my books from him. Assuming he's still in good health I;m sure he still has some to sell.
The Va Shows are odd sometimes. Plastic and Black go for a premium but the grab boxes are full of expensive holsters and grips for a few bucks.
The last show I got a great deal on a double 12...
If you're serious, I'll be happy to. They show up in half the junk boxes at the Richmond Shows.
What doesn't show up are the smooth grips and when they do, they are spendy.
