I can find .401 SWCs (and I use them in my semi-autos), but to make light loads for a revolver, wadcutters would be fun.

Like the title says... I'm curious about .401 wadcutter bullets to load for a 10mm revolver.

I've searched high and low, and I can't find any.

I'm loading for a 3" Ruger LCRx... It's a "kit gun" (or a "purse gun," if my wife or daughter have it), so 7yds is really plenty, and I'm way more interested in light recoil, rather than accuracy......

Exactly... Hodgdon says 2.0 to 2.3gr of Trail Boss should get me 625-675fps.

The reloading data I have spec'ed HBWCs, but what you're saying makes sense... I can't imagine bullet profile makes a big deal.

I like coated bullets because I'm trying to limit...

Look more closely... It's a 10yd zero, so the 500fps load drops 1.4" more than the 700fps load in the 15yds between 10yds and 25yds.

By 50yds, the difference is 7+ inches!

GunData won't allow a muzzle velocity of less than 500, so I compared 500 and 700fps, with 75gr wadcutters (nevermind that it says 148gr, I just selected that to get...
