I was hoping to buy ready-to-load bullets...
I can find .401 SWCs (and I use them in my semi-autos), but to make light loads for a revolver, wadcutters would be fun.

Like the title says... I'm curious about .401 wadcutter bullets to load for a 10mm revolver.
I've searched high and low, and I can't find any.
Side note: The long thread about my...

I'm loading for a 3" Ruger LCRx... It's a "kit gun" (or a "purse gun," if my wife or daughter have it), so 7yds is really plenty, and I'm way more interested in light recoil, rather than accuracy......

Exactly... Hodgdon says 2.0 to 2.3gr of Trail Boss should get me 625-675fps.
I saw those, but they're kinda pricey...
Bare lead isn't a deal-breaker — just something I'm trying to...

Sounds good!
The reloading data I have spec'ed HBWCs, but what you're saying makes sense... I can't imagine bullet profile makes a big deal.
I like coated bullets because I'm trying to limit...

I thought there might be some advantage to HBWCs in pressure/velocity consistency (which has lately become the hobgoblin of my little mind).
If the only difference in HBWCs and DEWCs is supposed...

That's what I figured, but I thought I'd ask, first...
Yes, I have some DEWCs on the way, and I'll start playing with those.
I'm aiming for low-recoil target rounds, and a lot of those...

"Hi-Tek" or whatever they call it. You know, like "blue" bullets, or "black" bullets, or Federal's "Syntech."
It's all basically the same stuff, AFAIK...
It's easy to find coated 148gr...

Like the title says... Does anybody sell 'em?
I'm shopping for 148gr HBWCs (yeah, you guys in that other thread that disappeared were right), and about to pull the trigger on Speers, but I'd...

Look more closely... It's a 10yd zero, so the 500fps load drops 1.4" more than the 700fps load in the 15yds between 10yds and 25yds.
By 50yds, the difference is 7+ inches!
Done... ...

I just ran the ballistics...
GunData won't allow a muzzle velocity of less than 500, so I compared 500 and 700fps, with 75gr wadcutters (nevermind that it says 148gr, I just selected that to get...

Thanks, guys... This is helpful.
The consensus seems to be that I shouldn't be too worried about the "stats." I'm OCD enough to want low numbers just for their sake, and I sometimes plink at...

Back story: I'm used to loading .40S&W for my Glocks, and I'm used to seeing ESs in the 30-60fps range, and SDs in the teens or twenties, if not single-digits (with...

S&W is doing another run, and they're for sale right now. There are several on GunBroker (no association) for <$800.

Right, that's not one of my cases, but some of my loaded cartridges look like that.
I'm looking through the "once-fired" brass that I bought, and a bunch of them look like...

Hi all,
Several of my reloaded .38 Special cartridges look like the one on the left, here:

I'm reloading "once-fired" nickel brass, so I don't know their provenance, or whether the...
