The funnel was for paper black powder 2-1/2 shells.

Reason I asked is a friend passed and left me the shotgun we grew up shooting. We always loaded it with black powder. The funnel was very helpful. I will keep looking thanks guys.

The one I'm talking about is for black powder wads and cards use to come with a rammer. Shell fits completely inside funnel.

Does any one know if they still make the solid brass/copper wad funnels? It where one may be found?

Is it mandatory to accuracy to use a patch. my bore is .6105 my balls i have right now are .6025. wouldn't those be fine for deer hunting without a patch as long as accuracy is there?

I don't articulate very well. I meant I will either use buckshot or round Ball for deer hunting. Shot probably number 5 for everything else.

Or a slow twist rate wad for roundball. Like the slugger shotgun slugs.

Might be time to go ahead and convert it to cap lock.
