Thanks! Loaded a few at 5.3gr and some at 5.7gr. Fixing to go shoot them.
Alliant didn’t have much data. I own Speer, hornaday, Lyman, rcbs, sierra manuals. I was just if someone here had any experience that they would be willing to share.
Thanks
New to 9mm looking to see if anyone would share their pet load using this combo.
I'd cast enough 00 pellets to fill a mayo jar before i figured it out. Then ordered .310 and .300 molds from Sharpshooter USA. Yes, that was the answer to my problem. I was just trying to come up...
I've tried loading 00 9 pellets with mixed results. Problem being not enough room using white CB 118 wads. I cut pedals off said wads and get a good crimp and no bulges or dipples on hulls. Have not...

Try a little more depth on your expander. All I use are TL type molds so I won't have to size. No target competition here, just lots of no fuss, cheap but reliable handgun ammo.
I own one of his molds. Service was great. I'd get a hold of him, to see
whats up.
2.7 gr. was using HBWC, mine are DEWC's. I thought maybe someone here had used my bullets with Bullseye and could give me advice........ I will just use Alliant's HBWC recipe.
Reason for this thread was, Alliant's wadcutter data is for hollow based not cast DEWC. That load shows 3.1 gr. of Bullseye. 799 fps out of a 6" barrel. I have Lee TL 148 gr DEWC molds and was...
I have read for years how 2.7 gr. of Bullseye under a hollow base 148gr. wadcutter was the go to load. Never had any to try, but I did just buy 2 Lee molds. Both TL 148 gr. double end wadcutter type....
At what point can you just pour pellets into wads, verses stacking. I assume #4 buck is not stacked, but wondered how much larger in diameter one could go without having to stack.

a match.... when i feel like it. usually just check for alignment and go to town

cool.... free lead! handgun loads under 1100 fps i'd mix 50-50 with WW or 3 part roof jack to one part linotype.

frosty boolits seem to be the sharpest and cleanest.
Sarge,
I wouldn't sweat the flat spot, but hang on someone here may have clue on how reduce its size.
Peters Blue Magics a buddy of mine gave me years ago, John.
44921It's nice to have a place like this where I can find people who are willing to share their ideas and not just type in "Go buy a reloading manual." My latest obsession, 8 pellet Buck.
Now I have some ideas for all those Blue Magic hulls collecting dust around here. Thanks for sharing!
My pet 158 gr LSWC load:
Lee TL 158 gr SWC from WW's lubed with LLA, over 6.0 gr Unique.

I agree with previous 2 post on the subject. Scrimp on the tin, it's your most valuable ingredient of an alloy. I only cast for handgun and buckshot, but frosty bullets (IMO) are just the result of...
