Thanks for the writeup. I may take this up this summer.
That sounds simple enough.
The question is will it overly stress the spring and lower its reliability?
beautiful gun.
i have quite a number of 44mag revolvers already.
Sometimes, I wished my sw500 4" can be my ccw gun.
The trigger of the 627PC is super smooth. SA is definitely under 3lb. The trigger reminded me of the SW500PC --- very satisfying.
That's fascinating.
What's the ballpark number for when they upgraded their machinery?
Are they still using EDM or ECM anymore?
Besides carrying it the appendix style (pointing at your little brother), is this gun too thick carrying on the side for CCW ?
I know, I know ... I am late ... I have finally got around to watch Blood Work, the Clint Eastwood police movie.
I got interested in the S&W 627PC snubby before I watched the movie and people were...
In the past, there is apparently a difference in the accuracy requirement for a 629 to be categorized as a DX gun. People have vouched for it and S&W has confirmed that.
Is there any difference...
Bought the LCRx 38SPL and the wife has no problem pulling the trigger.
In fact, she can repeatedly pull the trigger many times in a row.
Something about that frictionless cam must be working well...
I would go with the M&P45. It may not be as accurate as a 1911 or a Beretta 92-series but it is predictable and the groupings are closer simply because the cartridge is intrinsically an accurate...
Somehow, I am more tilted towards the CZ, mainly because I have two of them and they are a perfect 9mm semi-auto.
And, they are consistently accurate, unlike my moody S&W M&P9.
Anyone know how many pounds is the trigger pull for the LCR 38sp ?
My wife and I were just discussing about her carry gun and she just realized that she cannot complete the DA pull of a Ruger SP-101.
Is the DA trigger pull of a S&W M60 snubby by or a 642 lighter...
Thank you to all you nice folks for sharing your experiences in addition to the voting. Really appreciate that a lot!
I have placed the order for my 686 and should be getting it next week.
I'm going to feed it with a constant flow of 357Mag reloaded to the upper half of the pressure curve.
What are your thoughts? Which one is better?
Please balance it between accuracy and "built like...

Accurate wheeler: my own loads (win296 44gr + 325gr Hornady HP) are more accurate than the 440gr RNFP UltraMax
Trigger: the factory trigger is quite crisp. I do not see a...
45coltnut and others,
Thanks for offering your help.
I'll certainly take into consideration all of your unselfish sharing of info and I appreciate it very much.
I have a Henry's (https://www.henryrifles.com/rifles/45-70-lever-action/) and I'm starting to reload for the 45-70 Govn't. I have reloaded several other cartridges (308win, 5.56mm, 500SW, 9mm, 45ACP,...

$200 bucks for 8lb Win 296 ?
That's close to 40% higher than PowderValley.
The beast arrived and I have not fired it yet.
Polishing: the stainless steel polishing is up to snuff compared to Ruger's Redhawks. Nicely done except for a couple of smaller areas near and...
Some how, the concussion effect of the 500SW is also a little less when shooting a 10" vs a 4".
Yes, I agree, MRI makes interesting guns. I'm eyeing their 2015 released stainless 50AE Desert...
Bought the BFR 10".
Waiting ... waiting ... waiting ...

Like most 500SW steel guns, I expect I should be able to use the gun to physically wallop a bear if the cylinders are...
So, are you guys saying that even with the factory Pachmayr rubberized grip, it's still a problem?
It's almost saying that you need a smaller grip to accommodate the large knuckles?
