Found a bolt action shotgun in the trash, the bolt was missing. It is high on the wall of our camping cabin, with a few dowel rods serving as a fake bolt.
Yes, my S&W 1911 Pro Series enhanced grip safety will not fully engage with my preferred grip, whereas my Remington 1911 R1S with the normal lever, works just fine.

At that short of range, the 357 is all you need. Put the bullet in the right spot.

I use it in my 30-30 with 85gr handgun bullets for a wicked fast load.
In my 357 and 44 mag for a slow, light recoiling load.
My S&W 686 357mag with an 8" barrel, has hardly any kick with any load; let alone my hot 180gr loads, which will do the trick.

Hornady, because they are cheaper... but any reputable brand on sale for cheaper, gets bought.

You must shoot dimes, without the scope.

Good shooting!

That way I don't screw with barrel harmonics.

I used to be a great speller, then I got out of school and lost it all, until I got back into spelling on the internet. Now I spell real good with the aid of spellcheck.

Either something is in the way, so your pillar isn't touching your lug, and/or bottom metal; or your front pillar is too short.
Make sure your magazine box is seated correctly.

Oh yes, I forgot to complain about the Marlin 1894 44mag insufficient 1 in 38 twist rate! Thanks for reminding me!

I have a Marlin 1894 44mag, looked to have been never fired; but had some problems with the action. First the action wanted to fall apart when cycling, (which is a common failing,) to the locking lug...
If that is your "accuracy" expectations, why de-burr at all? You probably can get away with no load development whatsoever.
"A 200yd shot was unthinkable."
Yes! Obviously!

All my handgun loads are loaded to jacketed bullet speeds; lead, plated or jacketed I treat them the same. Here is my practice load, which is using a medium load of VV-N-110.

22s are mainly for the kids to shoot. I'll sometimes shoot them just to make sure they are sighted in, or whatnot.
I used to quick-draw shoot all the time, but have gotten away from the single actions, so I'm not very good at it any more.

Yes. You think your action is opening and closing well enough, but it might not be. I had that problem with mine, my POI had shifted on me with the powder coated bullets.

I really don't favor one trigger over another with my rifles. My 1917 had a 11lbs., long, gritty trigger pull at one point, and I shot it just as well as the others.

For the longest time I was going to get a single action 357 with a 3.5 inch barrel and birds head grips, but I ended up buying a Remington 1911 in 45acp. I'm glad I got the 1911, but do love any...

Yeah, I think those were the first cases I reloaded with, I always neck size only. Once I figured out how much pressure the gun could handle, I didn't need to full length size again.
