Is the powder loose? I use a thin piece of florist foam to hold the powder in position.
Do you raise the barrel each time to position the powder at the rear of the case? Could be powder...

Good, no. But I would say fair. I'd lean towards $250 for the safties. Last 2 Glenfield 30-30s went for $250 in fair condition. They'd been hunted with and showed use.
The lever guns are...

That is an interesting project Outpost. I wound up with a 32 H&R Mag Contender barrel because of all these thoughts running around here. Still working on it and loads.
Please keep us up to date....
When I read the title, I kept thinking, you are not supposed to brag about murder on a public forum. Maybe I'm a little jumpy with 3 kids dating seriously. Eh?
Yes, we practiced at 50-100 yards...
Outpost75,
That is very interesting. How can I research this? I've wondered if this is the reason everyone didn't like intruding on the powder space, but didn't find it documented or used the wrong...
You have a pre-easy open frame. Frames are running $250 to $350.
14" 22 Match barrel runs around $200.
Nikon scope at $50.
$350 is a good price for a complete Contender. I'm paying close to...

BO is the date code and first 2 digits of the serial number. Most marlins can be dated by serial numbet code. Charts on the interwebs.
Buy it or let one of us. I really like my model 30 & paid more than that. Check the action to verify tightness, but I'd be surprised if it was loose. Fun little guns. Reloading is easy for the 32...
I use Dillon even though they say they won't work. they work fine.

That's what I gave for my 1895 with Williams aperature installed. Going rate for good condition.
Golf balls are fun targets, but they do run when you center punch them. Bring several spares next time.
You shooting the balls at 50 yards?
we'd start aluminum cans at 10-25 and chase them out...
Very pretty! Thanks for sharing. I did not realize these were out there in this condition.

What bullet weight are you looking for? The newer ones will have the twist for the 120 and 140's. The older military swedes will like the 140 to 160's. If for the wife, I'd lean to the lighter...
Afraid that is the case here too. Enjoy the range time
I like the IMI but the slide mounted safety is peculiar, but makes a great handle for racking the slide. Fun guns. The full size 75 is great & the grips are the same to me.
Good choice & enjoy
I have a Virginian Dragoon that I leaded. Lewis lead remover worked, but not easy.
Looking real hard at the M69, but tripped over a couple other toys that won. For the moment. Will continue the...

Yes, I have not seen a 45-70 for that little in a while. Most, even used ones, hang around $1000.
If the metal is in good shape, the wood is replaceable.
Hmmm. I've got a CZ & 1.5 clones (plastic frame EAA not quite there) and 2 blackhawks. I'd start looking for used guns & let fate decide. I will say I've sold blackhawks, but haven't sold a CZ.

That is beautiful! I hope you have a long time to appreciate it.

Best excuse so far is "the wife says I have too many".
The response there is you sound like my exwife. And will be if you keep talking like that.
What do you shoot now?
Having learned on 1911s, I find the CZ 75s natural & comfortable. The IMI & EAA clones similar. I don't care for the poly frame EAA. I, too, recommend the steel framed CZ.

Didn't get the chance this year. Daughter using a 357 mag180 gr LBT FN in Marlin lever. She is getting good with it. Just need to get her confidence up. I'm a proud papa!

A 358 makes me smile. Highly recommended. However, how many 35 caliber molds do you own?
What is it chambered for now? JES may be able to simply rebore it & it'll save you money for molds.
