So far on lead I have been paying on average $0.10 /lb, I think I can live with that. That's $2.50 for a 25 lb bag of shot, not complaining at all over...

Well I picked them up today, and they are lead that's for sure. Could easily mark the surface with a fingernail. I have them in the melting pot right now, to turn them into ingots and am looking...

I have been calling as well, found almost all my buckets this way so far. Found a half a bucket just hitting up all the tire stores. Either way seems to work ok for me.

klausg - well you were right he said he bought an old fishing boat and they came with it. I am picking them up Wednessday after class as he is giving them away. Thanks for the replies.

I ran into a guy who has some 10 lb lead cannon balls kicking around that he could get rid of. I am wondering if anyone knows how hard/soft cannonball lead is and if it is any good. Thanks,

I had about 300 lbs at one point but I have went through most of it, and am down to about 125 lbs and looking for more! I don't know how many times I have locked up the brakes for a tire shop.

Thanks for all of the replies. I don't do any bullet casting, well not yet anyways, I just make lead shot for trap shooting. I might try casting some slugs one of these days when I get a little bit...

Well melted up a bucket I picked up today, and I have to say that it was the best bucket I have gotten yet. A couple of them stupid stems, and a zinc weight but that was about it. No stick on wheel...

We go through a minimum of 750 lbs of lead over here, but that's with 5 people shooting trap, sending an ounce of lead down range with every pull of the trigger lol.

I have actually been considering that a fair bit. I calculated their cost once, and I think if they paid all of the shipping in a USPS flat rate box and paying $20 for a bucket of wheel weights...

Well the nozzles are made of grade 5 3/8" bolts with a 3/16 hole drilled almost all of the way through the length of them, then a hole drilled to .020" through the hex head to intersect the 3/16"...

I ran it yesterday for about 4-5 hours and cranked out about 160 lbs of shot. I am happy with it for the most part, 1 dripper was being stupid so I just plugged it and ran it on 7 drippers instead...

Well we finally got it finished and making decent shot, it has some dimples and is slightly out of round but I am not complaining as I am sure that can be fixed by changing the distance the shot...

Picked up 2 today, I don't know exactly what they were 50 caliber something 10 inches deep which I think should be sufficient. I made drippers today...HOLY SMOKES! I busted 6 #68 drill bits on 8...
