+1 more for the Lee 125gr RNFP, I size mine .357". They feed great in my guns and have proven to be very accurate.

I have been using Rooster Zambini for several years on all my pistol boolits and it has worked great for me.
3.5 gr of Trail Boss under the 358311 has been a good load for me. Accurate and very low recoil.
I know you didn't list Titegroup as a powder you had on hand, however, in my SP101 4.7gr of Titegroup behind a 158gr SWC in a .357 mag case with a Federal 100 SP primer has proven quite accurate. I...
A nice light target load I use is 4.5gr of Unique under a 200gr SWC, it worked in my 1911 wade gun so tried it out in my 4" 625 and it shoots just as well in it.
I have used a lot of TB behind 148gr HBWC and home cast FWC in my S&W mdl 52. 2.5gr has been my preferred load and has been a very accurate load.
I have loaded a lot of Speer 148gr HBWC and have had really good luck with them. Midway has a decent price on them too.
I have started using the Lee #452-200-RF, 200 gr RNFP. More accurate than the 230gr RN I cast and no feeding problems. The Lee #TL452-200-SWC, 200gr tumble lube SWC is the most accurate .452"...
I've had good luck with 3.5gr of Trail Boss. Before I started using TB, I had used Titegroup with good results, can not tell you the charge weight I used right off hand.

All I use is Lee Liquid Alox (LLA) and the Lee push through sizing dies. I really like this method and it is easy to to do larger quanties of boolits at one time, it just takes longer than a...

I run two 20# Lee pots at a time. Pour from one pot til it gets low, refill, and pour from the other pot while the first comes back up to temp, then repeat the process. No waiting after you start...
Well did a little reading and I think I can get a couple of pictures of posted.
Sorry, tried twice, no luck, check out my photo album, smith52 pic's.
From the pictures I say it's a Star Model No. 38, .38 rimfire, manufactured by the Prescott Firearms Co. between 1873 & 1875. I have pictures of mine on handloads.com, just do a search for ".38...

I've had the same issue with Lyman 160gr RN(358311) in some of my smaller framed .357 mags, including my SP101.
I use W231 myself for low recoil .357 mag loads. I would recommend using the Hodgdon's website info for the .357 mag, 148gr LHBWC over W231 for your load.
Min: 3.0gr (845 fps from 10" barrel with...
I agree with everyone else, for POA drop your bullet weight, try a 200gr or 225gr bullet.
I shot quite a few diffferent plain base lead boolits, of various weights, through my various .357 mags with great results. I tumble lube all my boolits with Lee Liquid Alox and have never had any...
I agree, the lighter bullet will strike lower than the heavier bullet in the same gun. bgokk explained it well.
+1 for the 7.0gr Unique under 158gr bullet, I preferr a LSWC for target shooting and hunting though.

I don't think it's abnormal as long as the scale reads consistantly each time. I'm not familiar with this Lyman scale but, if you question it and you still have your old Lee scale, compare the two....

I started off with the Auto Disk but, had trouble with the hopper screw holes stripping out. So I just bought the Pro Auto Disk, it works great. I have not had much luck the adjustible charge bar and...
My preferred .45 ACP target load is 4.5gr of Unique behind a 200gr LSWC. It has proven to be an accurate load at 25 yards in my 5" 1911's.
SierraWhiskeyMC,
Hodgdon's site does give the primer, twist rate, and barrel lenght they used for their data but, only when you click on Hodgdon's "PRINT" icon. The info is at the top of the...
