As far as 2400 Alliant goes, I have even used 9 grains of it in my 45 auto rim revolver, and it works fine. I have attached a video of my double barrel 10 gauge in which I can use 45 grains of 2400...

If I want the tightest pattern in 12 gauge 000 buckshot, I use 45 grains of 2400 powder. Makes that big BOOM sound, I call them my "cannon shells". - - Lance, Rockford, IL....
