Now in a .38 .... I love the stuff !!

At one time LBT offered and idea of using two lead pots , one with soft alloy and the other hard . The soft one had some type of balance system that allowed a set amount of lead into a mold . I think...
Build a box to hold the mold while you ladle the lead in . It's not hard and does ease the stress on the body a little .

For those of you who have used a lot of Accurate Arms 5744 . Is there a sweet spot when using heavy bullets like the Lyman 314299 in the 7.62x54r cartridge ?
I was using 24 grains in a 91/30 and...

I've used Hoppe's for a very long time and it's worked good . It may be a little slow on copper but it does get it in time .

My favorite is the M1 Garand followed by the 1903A3 , I still like the earlier 03 but the front sight is getting fuzzy .

Ruger is hit or miss for some , for me it's been mostly miss to the point that I only buy them if the price allows for the cost of repair to make it right .

Shortly after I got mine the extractor broke , I'm not a hundred percent sure it was from single loading . after I replaced it when I single load , I always slip the rim of the cartridge into the...
When I was looking for a round nose .38 bullet I would have been very glad to find that one for $180 . All of my H&G molds have worked flawless , including the one abused by a major law enforcement...

If you check old "Fouling Shot" issues Frank Marshall loaded that bullet in a bolt action Savage 30-30 . He included powder data and loading techniques for that rifle too .

It's been so long since I ordered from Midway , I can't remember when I stopped . I have browsed their selection from time to time but the surprises have stopped me .

I remember the surplus 7.62x51 ammo selling for eleven to fifteen cents a round . What I bought of that deal made up for me not being able to buy a Barrett fifty cal. fifteen years earlier with a...

In the "other" category , I'd lust after the end of the NFA , the GCA and all other infringement gun laws create against human rights .

I had that H&G in a six cavity and used data for the Lyman bullet . Worked just fine and fed great .

I've got one from Accurate that's about a hundred thirty grains . Flat nose and plain base with two small grease grooves . I think the number is 120-E but I really don't remember for certain . It was...

In my experience Marlin has had Quality control and customer service problems since the nineties . Ruger has had the same problems a little longer maybe . So they are not something I'm likely to risk...

I cast another handful of .22 bullets in the H&G number four mold .

I have used 231 in the past , currently , 700X and Unique are in stock and work well . That bullet does not seem hard to please at all .
