A small point I noticed - you mentioned the lead was running through the mold Do you have any splatter on the mold faces? That will hold them open. Clean that off. When you dump bullets from...

My ride has LED in it, ( a used car 2006 ) I love the bright light at night. I can see deer another 50 yds out. BUT I get flashed by other drivers all the time, even when they know I on low beam. ...

I like the double drum thing, looks very nice. I once had a similar rig made of concrete sluce pipe on end. Pipe had big holes broken out so..wood fire in the bottom and all the stuff on top. Once...

Not sure of the dates, but I have one of those, minty, and it is an oversized base. Cases last about two shots with full power loads before head separation.( with full resizing) You might want to...

I don't think any of that stuff will kill you, unless you get a bullet stuck in the barrel and don't notice until the next shot. But it sounds like a lot of potential headaches. I might save the...

Never heard of a .33-40 WCF. I know reboring 32-40 to 33-40 was common enough. I once had a Stevens 33-40 that had gone through this change. Gun was typical worn out ratty old 44 but the bore was...

I have fought this brass battle many times. I have $100 worth of books on "how to" - all obsolete now that these old odd balls have become popular again. But wait, they are not making it now. I...
yup, I'd like to get a couple molds from either of those guys - years waiting. I don't know what they do sell, but it ain't what I want. If you have only a picture in the catalog but never make...

You might look into 11mm Mauser but the rim thickness must be watched.

Bent Ramrod, I also searched for your piece and found nothing. Any clues?

I made one. I used #10 Romex copper wire. 3 strands, one end in a vice, the other in the cordless drill chuck. Twist together. Solder on threaded or what ever end. It works well but "sheds"...

I think bullet design may factor in here as well. A couple of old Ideal designs had a pronounced taper too the shank, not a boat tail, not a bevel base but a taper. I recall two: One was a 45 ACP...

I don't know if the 55 is still current but there are boat loads used around. The 45 sizer became the 450 then the 4500. These are also still common on the used market. I use several 45's. I do...

I think add the Vandala shotgun press and I think the Tru-line, aka Tru-line senior, not the small turret press. And the inline shotgun kits.

yes to above- be sober when loading and check for double charges --wipe any lube off bullet bases.

what Larry G said. I have shot a lot of really badly worn and pitted rifles. No jackets as I an odd ball caliber guy, but cast I see no issue. Lots of lube, or at least enough.
Have you tried to shoot any of the 379's? Generally 1 or 2 thousands over groove is good with lead. I would shoot a bunch and see. Lyman size dies are out there, may take some looking.
Just wondering of the common handtools, which is better and why. I understand that roll crimping is a better way to go, so if separate tool is needed please comment. I do not load shotguns much. ...

Same story, rock chucker does the bulk bull work, the co-ax when I want a little extra better ammo, or confidence. All priming on the rcbs bench mounted press. All sizing on Lyman 45's or rcbs. I...

Just from memory, foggy, only 1 coffee-- I seem to recall this style was developed to shoot fish, but it was discovered it would punch a hole in steel plate. I think that was in 1 of the older5 Ideal...
