A double charge in .38 Special will not blow the cylinder. It takes a combination of multiple charges and increased seating depth which compresses the powder above 100% of load density.

Thanks to Larry Gibson for pressure testing in his Oehler 43 PBL.
AND these have been pressure tested not to exceed 20,000 psi. While exceeding SAAMI MAP for .44-40 these are well within safe design limits for heat treated post-1920 Colt New Service, Winchester...
The .44 Magnum and .44-40 have almost identical powder capacity. There is no issue using .44-40 data to assemble reduced power .44 Magnum ammo. A charge of 6-7 grains of Bullseye or TiteGroup works...

That FN58 ammo is Berdan primed. Not worth the effort.
One drop only of 2- cycle oil on the sprue plate pivot screw. One drop only on a Q-tip to lightly lubricate the alignment pin bushings. With new mold boil blocks in tap water with a squirt of Dawn...
I see no need for the .327. I have two Ruger Blackhawks in .30 Carbine. One with 7-1/2" barrel and the other professionally shortened to 5-1/4". The .30 Carbine with full charge factory loads beats...

You can increase the Bullseye to 2.5 grains in the I-frame or 3 grains in a J-frame or 3.0 and 3.5 of 231. These should not be exceeded if you want the guns to last.
MEASURE the cylinder throat diameters with zz- minus pin gages or by driving a dead-soft, pure lead round ball through each charge hole and measuring with a micrometer. For a rifle do a pound cast of...

With Accurate Molds you can specify alloy and indicate whether you want the 0.002 tolerance positive, negative or centered. I order most molds with nose tolerance negative to enter cylinder thoats...
Important to cast chamber and origin of rifling and to also slug barrel. All three of my Beretta 9mm pistols are .357-.358 groove, but chambers run tight so that it is absolutely necessary to select...

My very first rifle was the clip- fed version of what you have, the model 511. Great guns. Wish I had kept mine.

4227 is too slow burning to work well in .45 Colt.
Lyman has 4227 data for .454 Casull.
