I could not agree more. I do buy from Midway a couple times a year for that special item. But the local gun shops are like a bakery to a fat guy....just can't stay away. Guess what..... the owners...

Years ago we picked up about 30lbs. of .22 slugs.
After a few days of drying we smelted them.
A bunch would not melt.....not all are lead.
Just my $.02 worth.

Have shot the .30 carbine in the Ruger. You are all right......it's the loudest sob Iv'e ever shot but the .32 mag is not far behind. The .30 Herrett with W296 is not far behind either. All of them...

It costs 60 bucks in Washington to get a CCW if you pass the background check.

Have you tried IMR 4198 in your .30 HERRETT?
That and AA2015 have been the best for me.
Case life is much better also.

No one has mentioned the model 3 HERTERS press. Got me started in 1965 and still going strong.

Just as dirty as the old stuff, and just as good too.

Have not seen the .30 Herrett mentioned. The neck is long enough for a 150 gr. bullet and you can't get more than 27 grs of 4198 in it.

Am surpised that the stainless caliper that Midway sells was not mentioned.
Mine reads right with my Sterret 1" micrometer and the Midway unit cost about $20.00 or so 10 years ago. And it keeps on...

Have the same rifle.....its not drilled or tapped.
