Find yourself a good burn rate chart, basically anything between H4895 and IMR 4064 will work, maybe even H335 to 4064. Slower than 4064 will work with an adjustable gas plug.

Supposedly, small rifle primers and small pistol magnum primers are close to the same, if not identical. I wouldn't think it was the primer that locked up your revolver. But, all I can say for sure...

Wow, just wow. What do the primer pockets and the insides look like?

Your 38 Extra Short looks suspiciously like a 41 Short for all the little pocket derringers. Some measurements may be required.

It depends on how hard to find the brass is.............

One other hint, when you do get the magazine cap screw out, when you start on the magazine cap itself...............
Just know the cap is a slight interference fit, that's all.......................
Not absolutely sure, but I think that the 9.3x72R is smaller in all dimensions than the 9.3x74R. I'm
thinking the 9.3x72R case won't even touch the 9.3x74R die anywhere except the neck, it might...

Yep, I did about 300 .314 to .312 coated bullets, all the coating stayed on. No problems.

Another vote for a '92. Look for a factory style mold, that should cut out the feeding problems. Lee Factory Crimp Dies are your friend!

I also shortened the magazine spring somewhere between 4 and 5 inches, that made all the difference!

If he is just controlling pop cans, that bullet, if it's the right diameter, should be just fine.
I used to load 3 000 Buck in my full choke Winchester 42, it was impressive at 20-30 yards..............
I used the factory Winchester 410 wad and probably 296.

Speer Number 8. Before lawyer loads, that's for sure....................

There's lots of Alcan AL7 handgun loads in Speer #8 from the early 70s.

Gentlemen:
I snuck up on a pretty nice 44/40 1892 Winchester on GunBroker the other day, it went pretty cheap because the loading gate was broken off. I thought that wouldn't be a problem to find,...

Call Ward's Auctions, they're in Oregon. If it's worth anything they may come get it. If you will take a look at their website you will see they are big into that. Now, what you consider a lot, and...

The copper tube was designed to provide expansion faster than a conventional lead bullet, but slower than a hollow point bullet.

40-82 is a wonderful cartridge, loads easy, feeds like a dream, a little less recoil than a 45-70. It does use a 2.4" case, but 45 years ago I used 2.1" 45-70 cases, and 41 Mag pistol bullets!

I don't for sure know that it is, but you should "assume" that it is. I do remember when that all came in, it was referred to as "mildly corrosive".
Yeah, right.............kinda like being...

Any local metal supply should have it, local scrap yards might have something, there are oil field sucker rods in 3/4", welding shops, machine shops, to start, it's on eBay.

What about having someone thread a piece of 3/4" cold roll, or sucker rod, or some such someother 3/4" round stock, and put a rubber handle on it?
It's 7.62x51 imported by Century Arms International (CAI) Saint Albans, Vermont.
