Hey guys
Ive got a 1917 303 Enfield that is being more than a bit difficult to cast for. This is the first one that really is kicking my butt lol.
IF i use a low charge of unique, say 11 to...

Thanks for all the quick replies guys!
Have not heard back from CBE yet about making me a plain base, and i think you may be right about the max size for accuratemolds.

Hello all!
Does anyone have a line on a nice .512 or 5.13ish plain base mold? Would love to find something similar to the big noe 887 .513 or CBE 975. It will be shot from a 510 whisper and maybe...

Waiting on my upper from Tromix... It is going to be a blast! Awesome to see people in casting giving this round a bit of attention.
One thing to keep in mind... Work up all loads. There is a lot...

Thinking of trying this ASAP. Not really for the convenience of it though. I tumble and pan lube whatever I can, but the PC route is very interesting for anyone using a suppressor. Recently got a...

Pop cans on a 175g pb do great from my 308 at about 1800 fps (16 inch barrel). No complaints here, well at least after I get the cans cut up proper lol. Lookin to get a 44 and 357 setup when I can.

I use that GC NOE mold as well. Seems to shoot pretty well out of the enfield and mosin I have used it in!

Good success with the 165 ranch dog here too!

Really like the rossi 357 for an all around fun gun. I have not hunted with it, but it shoots well enough AND I shoot it enough that I would grab it without hesitation. Handles great, seems to love...

Great bullet in 30 30, 308, 30-40, 30 06, and just about every other one I have here lol.
Probably have a 10 twist in that Krag, the same as my 308 hunter. Got very good accuracy at a bit over...

Just looked at those CBE molds... Definitely something to check out I think. That hollow point version of the 975 would be a heck of a hunting slug from a big whisper!
Anyone have any other...

Still looking for a mold for my 510 cal thumper. Got the dies, waiting on a barrel now.
1/9.5 twist here, so similar to the OPs. Should be just dandy subsonic as the bullets are not going to spin...
Hopefully get as much elevation as possible lol. There is a company called Murphy Precision that makes scope bases and rails to whatever specs you want. I have one on my 22 LR and 300 whisper with 40...

Promo and red dot have done great for my target shooting and plinking! Love the stuff.

I have been casting about a year now. I wish I would have gotten into when I started shooting lol. Entirely new dimension to reloading/shooting! Most all of my casting is done with a mix of scrap...
That would be a nice one to add to the shooting lineup... Not sure I could justify it though lol.

Rock river has done good for me!They use an off beat threading on the barrel now, 5/8 32 I think, but older models used regular ol 5/8 24.
Very cool AR 15 caliber.

I picked one of these rifles up the other day. Got the very last one out of all the stores around here. Handles great doesn't it?
I have loaded up a couple hundred rounds to try first chance I...
Thanks! If all goes well and I can get this thing together and shooting properly I plan to suppress it (hence my subsonic quest). Should be a blast to shoot either way though. Definitely will get...
I am planning to do a subsonic 45/70 barrel for my Encore, and I would like to find a good bullet mold to use.
I plan to use it for medium/longer range target shooting and a bit of suppressed...
Those velocities look similar to what i get, but just a little lower. Same lube too.
I am sure it has to do with the fact that I am using a bolt.
Very nice SD on that lower loading, especially if...

That stuff tends to be very very slow burning. what powder is it? 867 or 869 maybe?
I am not sure that it would be fast enough to use there BUT it can do okay for plinkers in 30 06 or 308 etc.
