If you can get your hands on a can of Trailboss you can make some really nice light accurate loads with it. I shoot a lot of it in 45/70 trapdoors and rolling blocks.

I have one and like it.

Mine has some changes:
Added a MCCARBO trigger (nicer than the stock plastic one) and trigger spring kit. About $35 worth of parts.
Did the 'AK spring mod' on the bipod...

TrailBoss is ideal for light 45/70 loads. I shoot more of that than any other powder.

These are great rifles. I have a couple (one original rifle, one cut down carbine I picked off GunBroker a few years ago). Both shoot well with Trapdoor loads.

A Gunslinger spring kit from Brownells does absolute wonders in improving the action, makes it slick like butter. Costs about $25 or so.

I have 2 SQD presses and love them. One set for large primer and one for small primer. I have loaded several 10ks of rounds on them and they just work great.
