Elmer didn't call it "length", he said width. As I recall. It's in his book "Sixguns", in the bullet chapter. He made it plain he wanted three equal lengths.

If you have the resources, that's the smart way to go for sure!

It's quite stable now . . . ninety to a hundred a thousand.

Nice work.
Don't ever let Ruger get their hands on that lovely sixgun man, you will never see it again.
" Polymer Coated bullets DO NOT equal metal jacketed bullets."
Dead right. But they aren't the same as a "normally" lubricated cast boolit either. They are sort of a step in between the two. ...
"I load all my ammo with powder coated cast bullets." So you're loading your pistols with jacketed ammo. Yes, Glocks rarely have issues with jacketed ammo.
It's not the crimp that can size the boolit down, it's the carbide sizing ring in the Lee Factory Crimp die that might. The way to tell is to pull a boolit and measure.
Also, that looks like a...

If by "YOU" you mean a person, at least as far as a firearm goes, you're correct. An FFL holder can though.
It's a little more complicated than that.
People have different ideas of what a lot of shooting is and the same with loading levels. 250 rounds a year out of one Bulldog and anything more than a...
How long ago was it's last deep cleaning (detail stripped)? The top of the trigger is what engages the half-cock and is quite thin and narrow. Doesn't take much to keep it from entering it's slot....

To the OP.
There are no circumstances under the law that in individual may mail (USPS) a handgun, ever, from one state to another, as far as I know. An FFL holder can and it's virtually always...

Exercise caution here. Note: I've never sent anything to Ruger, but many here have.
If I recall correctly Ruger alters ALL 3 screws into their transfer bar system.
If your sixgun is a .357...
That'll leave a mark. Probably won't buff out, either. :)

contender1,
He's in NY state. Vote them out? Good luck with that in many states.
Don't get me wrong, he's blaming the NRA (who hasn't seen a penny from me for YEARS) for his governor's...

If it's poisonous and I can, I kill it.
Tell that "everything has a place in nature" crap to the parents of a small child that dies from a snake bite. Or the young man who suddenly has $89,000...
Those small caliber guns are a hoot, aren't they?
The prices on factory ammo is climbing rapidly these crazy days. I expect it'll be a long, long time before we see much more of it. Good...
The Sheild .45 is an excellent weapon. Mine has been dead reliable and shows good accuracy. It won't equal a Jim Clark 1911 but I use it to hit my 3/4 sized silhouettes at 90 yards. The pistol...
" Have a pair and a spare of each barrel length."
Very smart thing to do.
Longer distance is fun as all get out. A couple years back I started it up again after many years not. Set up a frame that holds three 3/4 silhouette targets at 90 yards.
Shot at it with a...
Cowards can always find a good reason to not act. Whether they are wearing a badge or not. Life is scary and dangerous. Here in America we for too long have given them a voice, pretended that...
Robert,
Here is the latest example of a good guy killing an active shooter and not getting shot by the cops. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N-idRI8jQFM
Robert,
As it happens, your opinions are not matched by the facts here in the US.
It's never a good idea to comment to much on situations that occur far away in another country as what happens...
I agree. I sight all my fighting pistols in at 50 yards for this very reason.
"moving to a rifle." IF you can. If.
Another point of reality that most miss is shooting their carry piece...
If I wanted a compact 9 and budget mattered I'd go with a M&P Shield or Shield Plus. Excellent weapons.

Even with modern tooling/machinery bores will vary. I've .357s by Ruger and S&W that ranged from .355 to .3598.
