These were sold as training ammo. I bought some but have not used it as of yet. It is my understanding that the purple tint was to indicate it was for training purposes and not self defense use.

I have been using one of these for about 8 years. I use pins and am careful not to overload it and have not had any belt problems, though I have a spare. Hope yours works as well as mine has.

I use a 1/4 tsp Lemi-Shine in each container on the Harbor Freight tumbler. Usually get great results with 120 minutes or so. Have used twice that on old nasty rifle brass however. Hope this helps.
