    I use pvc pipe cut to length and made a plywood base with drilled holes to accept the pipe. I also drilled a smaller center hole to hold a wooden dowel to make hollow lube sticks. Works great.

    Good advice. I don't think I will shoot my 358 JDJ or 45-70 Contender with a rifle scope. Way too stout to even consider. I'm thinking 256 Win Mag or 7TCU would be about right.
