My dog licks her ass so I'm sure she will be fine with the bottom shelf stuff.

Hope your pup is ok. Hope hes a big dog. I had a 150lb newfinland who ate a whole chocolate cake once. Lips and tongue turned dark purple. We said our goodbyes but after 3 days he snapped out of it...
I forgot to follow up on this. I ordered the brass washer and installed it. I started getting very consistent drops. It made all the difference in the world.

This reminds me of years ago when I lived in San Diego. I pulled out of my complex and my car was hit by an egg. I chased down one of the kids and he wasn't talking. Once I mentioned "I usually carry...

Sounds like it didn't cook long enough or at the right temp

I'm using powder from the same can so that's not an issue. I'm not using a progressive press and I operate the powder bar the same each time. I'm sure about that.

I'm actually loading buckshot near max so that's why I wanted them a little more consistent. I guess I'll weigh each charge. It's not much more work really and I'll feel better about it.

I don't have a brass washer I don't believe. I'll look into getting one. The mec came with a powder baffle and I was told.i should use it. What's wrong with it?

Using red dot. I've loaded a few hundred medium charge shells with it but now.i. trying to load some buckshot at a more consistent charge weight. I just tried using my lee powder dropper and it's not...
Is it normal for an adjustable mec charge bar to be ±.3 grains? I'm having a hell of a time with it.

Why do you want a heavier bullet for target though? Im loading the lee 300gr bullet powder coated and gas checked and it's working great.

I havent cast for mine yet but I bought some acme coated bullets with a round nose flat point. As others have said they're working great for me.

Your load data should specify an overall length which should put you right around that crimp groove.

Maybe the pressure would be a little less since there's not as much bearing surface of the bullet dragging against the brass. Sounds like a test for the Mythbusters.

I'm sorry to hear that. My heart hurts for you.

I started casting some tonight with the temp up a little for better fill. No change. Looking at the mold it looks like the corners of a couple cavities are dinged. Looking at the bottom of the sprue...
Its only on 1 or 2 cavities though and im not having the issue with my 452 mold. I'll give that a try though before I do anything. It's gonna have to wait until this weekend though. Thank you.

Well I'm looking into having g lee refurbish the mold it looks like half of their 65 dollar msrp, plus shipping both ways. I'm thinking that's going to balance out right around to that $50 price for...
I dont know why I didn't think about that. Thank you.

I got a used lee mold but one or two of the cavities are not squared on the ends or something. Whe. I cast I get so.e bullets that have a little mushroom to them. Is it worth trying have a machinist...

I have the 155 mold but not the 160. Just looking at the lee mold chart it looks like the 160 is a touch longer though.

Well that didn't take long for a response from him...
His input: where are you going to find a 300+ gr .338 mold? And even then it'll only drop zinc at 180gr.
