I use Tight wad with my 12ga 3/4-7/8 oz loads, and brother do they pattern tight at 1300 fps! I am using a BPS wad.
Be sure to keep the plastic wadding out of your barrel, which greatly enhances group size! A little motor mica on the wad goes a long way in keeping the wadding out of the barrel.
Vasoline as a lube works well as a roll crimp lube.
I made a sleeve to go over the 12ga hull, bottoms out on the rim, then just use a razor knife to trim. A wood pencil pushes the case out of the...
I have Marty's molds in T, F, #4 Buck, and #1 Buck, love them.
Have Lee in the #4 buck and 00
50/50 wheel weights and range lead makes for some very hard buckshot that patterns very, very well....

Want to buy Thumblers Tumbler Rotary rock polisher. I am tumbling buckshot from the mold so the vibrating type does not work for me.
Please send me a PM with price and type.
Much appreciated

Barnabus, with the right tool, cutting the sprew from the buckshot is a non issue.
This past week I have been using the Lee #4 buck, and Sharp Shooter in #1 buck, F Buck, and T shot. I have a new #4 Sharpshooter if anyone needs one, and they are easier than the Lee molds, I just...

OP, the crown is a simple straight recessed. The edge has been broken with a 45-60* angle to do away with any burr, and as an aid to help starting a cleaning brush back in the barrel.

OP, Do you realize that with the scout rifle set up with the extended eye relief scope, the dim light situation is made MUCH worse?!
It was a real shock to me on my first Scout rifle, 8x57 German...
Recoil matters. I went Beretta 391 and 390....they never jam...ever. I shoot some really stout buckshot loads, coyotes, hogs, and deer.
Make mine, Gas operated...they hurt a lot less.
I like PSB buffer from precision reloading best.
Those with ears, let them hear!!!
The use of a gas seal, fiber base wad, plastic wrap makes for a lot of room in the hull, and simply fantastic patterns.
Corn meal makes for some really great filler material.

Years ago, I made benchrest bullets. At that time, almost everyone was using some kind of lanolin as a lube for the bullet jackets. The Die maker taught me to take a tube of the Lee White Sizing...

I still anneal with a propane torch and a bread pan with water in it, been using this technique since the 60's. Templaq is a big help.

Even to hint that AA#5 is dirty burning is FALSE, and I have been loading pistols since the late 60's.
I have some +P loads with 185,200, 230g Speer gold dots with AA#5. They are very, very accurate, more so than the lighter loads. I run 24-26 lb springs in my Kimber for these heavy loads.
I have many sets of the lee scoops. I just file off the top of the scoop to the charge I want. Each filed scoop goes back into the original box, where the charge is marked on a chart in the lid. ...
I load 9.1-9.6g of AA#5 with a 185g Nosler HP. It is not dirty burning, and I have shot many thousands of rounds in many 45's. I am wondering if you have ever shot bullseye or 231 as a comparison?...

I had two Ithaca Auto mag's in 10ga and a Browning Gold.
I killed coyotes with 2 1/4 oz of BB and 52 #4 Buckshot, and the rounds would carry way on out there. I got started with the 10's when...

0 buck would be a great second choice as both stack better and pattern very well.
