Beautiful stocks! I just redid a Marlin 336 30/30 in a similar fashion. It’s still doing final dry before I buff it out

Here in Ohio we have to hunt with shotgun slugs, muzzleloader, or straight wall cartridges. I’ve has a Romeo 5 on my shotgun for good while. Put one on my Marlin 45/70. Worked great!

There are ALOT of great lubes out there available! You will get a bunch of answers for home brews or factory stuff. I use a beeswax home brew and seems to work great but I don’t shoot a ton.
