I think the lee is a great tool for pistol cartridges. I don't think it will speed things up. You would probably need to go to a progressive.

I have both. Converting rhe progressive. For low volume is a pain. The lee turret is quick and painless .

Mine is also very finicky, mostly in the feeding die. Hornady has great customer service but was no help

The kit is the way to go. I have loaded many thousands of rounds on mine
I compete in a monthly steel shoot. One off my competitor's shoots one and has no problems clearing plate rack or poppers at 25 yards
