So I got my C&R FFL on November 14th. I mailed it October 24th, so the turnaround was extremely fast. Just wanted to update with a post in case anyone is wondering about current wait times for them.

I know midway stopped doing theirs about 4 years ago. I wish they still did because it's where I order stuff from most of the time. Brownells will be getting more of my money. I've never used graffs,...

I mailed my application on 10-24. They took my money on 10-30. So it didn't take long to get to this point. Try calling them. I think there's a help number on the ffl application.

Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask.
Short backstory: I was given several (3) shotguns from my grandfather recently. All three were essentially project guns that he acquired years ago when he...
I absolutely love my LCRx in 357. Smooth trigger pull. I haven't shot too many revolvers in my time compared to most of you, but it's still my favorite.
It's basically loose. None of it is in the original boxes, but I didn't think any of it had collector value, being that its not exactly rare ammo, nor is it particularly 'old' as far as ammo goes....
It feeling hot won't bother me. I'm not all that recoil sensitive. And I told him that I'll gladly take all of the ammo and reloading stuff he wants to give me. :)
I believe all of the rounds I have been given are 125gr JHP. I'll take some pics when I get home. Most of the 100 I have so far are Remington, at least 75 of them. And yes, I do plan on carrying a...
I was given 100 rounds to try out last time I went over to help him with something and he has a shelf maybe 18"x36" stacked full of 357 and 38 special ammo, mostly 357. Said I could have all of it if...
I know it should shoot just fine, but what do all of you think of shooting ammo that was manufactured in (I'm assuming) the 70's? One of my grandfathers was a LEO back in the day and when the...

Yeah even buying 'MSRP' lead from roto beats a lot of fmj's. I do love using their pure lead for my muzzleloader though.

I can't get any COWW. IL got rid of them several years ago. And even living right on the state line with MO, the few tire shops that get lead wheel weights already have people that pick them up. Most...

The first thing she said to me on the way home from shooting the golden boy the first time is that we should get matching Mares Legs.

I know I 'can' load 22 lr and 22mag, but I feel it is kinda pointless. I do save the brass, but it's more because I like to melt it down and make things out of it.

lol she's not new to it. She shoots about 500+ rounds of 9mm a month, and a handful of other rounds. We go shooting every week. But it is nice to have a permanent shooting partner!

My wife and I were given our first levergun as a wedding present last week, a Henry .22 Mag Golden Boy. She absolutely loves it. I wish it was something that could be reloaded, but I can't complain...

I'm at work so I don't have pics, but yesterday I finally got around to smelting my first batch of lead. It was about half range lead and half ~4% antimony lead I had gotten a few years ago, about...

There is an old hospital in my city that is currently being torn down. I drive past it at least twice a day, sometimes more. I just know there is lead, but all of the stuff gets put on trucks and...

None of the scrap yards near me sell to individuals. And living in IL, there are no lead wheel weights to speak of. It makes it kind of hard to find a lead source, but I am lucky that my grandfather...

That is exactly what I use to supplement my lee ingot mold. It worked pretty well, I should have let it rust over a bit for easier mold releasing, but I didn't have too much issue.

I have rarely met a dog that does not identify as a lap dog. My terrier and lab/heeler mix both do for sure!

So many people (in life, haven't seen it here) push college and bash tech school/trade jobs. Welders, plumbers, and electricians are in high demand in lots of areas, especially ones that actually...

She is my best friend. We have been together a little over 5 years, so it's nice to finally be married to her. Now people can stop asking when we are getting married and start pestering us about when...

My brother shoots 45 acp and got some a while back. Browning BPT. I have a handful of them, never tried to reload them as I wasn't sure what the coating actually was.
