Hammocks are the cool new in thing now it seems. I prefer an old scout style tent (in fact the big agnes scout ul 2 is what I bring). I too have a few injuries that require to me to take extra care...

It seems we share similar beliefs, osprey makes great packs that follow that mentality. However, they're on a bit of the heavy size for backpackers want that to get 15+ miles in a day. Compared to...

Thanks for this, I'll be sure to pick one up also!

Recently switched to a "no cook" policy. Recently as in, last year Aug. Decided I wanted to be out there to enjoy the outdoors not worrying about cooking and cleaning. Especially easy when you're...

What type of stuff are you carrying? I consider myself an "ultralight" backpacker so my needs are likely different than you. Heck, I head out of 3-4 day trips with only a 40 L pack that isn't even...

I hope to remain anywhere near your activity when I'm your age! Here are to many more hikes.

Doesn't sound like too bad of a deal to me!

Yep! I do the same. Used to pick them up as I figure it's free I can put a little effort into it. But after needing a box to ship something to family one weekend and having to visit 4 different...

I think doing these two things (staying out of blind spots and only using the left to pass) has kept me accident free (knock on wood) for my 10 years so far with driving.

Used to keep a regular hair cut first couple years of high school. Now I'm 25 and it get's an electric buzzer with no guard once every couple weeks. Always below a #3 but never shiny bald. Don't have...

^ you have no idea. I live in a college town and they are abundant. 100k in student load debt having to wait tables because their less than applicable degree didn't pan out.

Glad to hear things are going well... here's to a speedy recovery!

We used to have one of these not too far from my home... When I say used to... many years ago. Talking to the store owner while looking at the ancient remains they mentioned how "midway" drove them...

Yep, a reason why I never question the price on RCBS items. Always a good company that stands behind their product!
I love my RCBS automatic trickler. Forget the name of it. The scientist in me loves the precision that comes from it and being able to visually (via balance) confirm each charge.
Sometimes it is also just about sitting down, relaxing, and focusing on a small task such as reloading. I'm not always in such a hurry to knock out 1k rounds. Sure, for my 1911's I love cranking them...
This has always been my experience too... I simply stopped looking. First stop here in the classifieds then natchez or midway.
Forum: Cast Boolits
Glad to hear things went well for you lablover! Boolits look real good. I bet it doesn't take long to drain 10lbs with a 200 grain boolit. How did you end up breaking up the lead sheet?
Also, my...

Cool, I'll wait for my next check and place an order his way. Thanks.

Hmm, interesting. "factory" support as in Butterz is a good guy to deal with? Or the parts themselves have warranty?
In the end, if its a better option $200 is fairly reasonable.

Those look excellent, unfortunately at $216 shipped to my door that is a bit pricy. Have they just went up (they as in PIDs in general) in price the past year or so? I swear they used to be right...
Forum: Casting Equipment
Where did you guys order your PID from? Looking for a well built unit, not interested in building my own.
