I've had good luck with Federal brass. I have some old Winchester brass that I load light loads as it's getting thin. Federal is my hunting brass.

Got older and kept droppin my Harley so I went to this. Love it a Can Am Spyder..
I've taken three nice mule deer with 18 grs of AA#9 and a 255 grain in my Blackhawk. One shot for each no tracking. Should work on pigs too.
Two of them would be My old H&R 999 .22lr break top and my S&W Chiefs special.
Accurate powder load data is available on line. They show a lead 300 gr using #9 at 18.8 gr max. I load 18.5 grs. of #9 in my blackhawk with an RCBS 255 SWC. even that is stiff recoil and I don't...

I have a 336 that I had chambered to .30-30 AI. Very accurate with IMR 4064 and the 125 gr jacketed FPHP and will group 1 inch at 100 yds all day. I have worked up loads with several jacketed bullets...
I've loaded quite a few Lee 125 RNFP with Trail Boss for a friends wife and they are a joy to shoot. For my plinking load I load the same bullet with 3 grs of BE

My old .45 BH has claimed three nice mule deer loaded with 19 grs of AA#9 and RCBS 255 grain SWC. They are about 1100fps cast with WW's. Never recovered two of the bullets due to side/engine room...

Always used a simple bar of Lava soap with all the smells I had growing up on the farm.
My old Blackhawk is after the three screw but before the warning barrel stamps. Been hunting since then with it with an RCBS 255 SWC and 18.5 grs of AA#9. Never needed more than one shot on mule...
I have carbide dies and have reloaded my brass over 30 times with no problems. Unless you have an exceptionally over sized chamber on your gun, there shouldn't be a problem. Starline brass is pretty...

I'm another fan of AA#9, it's taken some nice mule deer for me and my friend in Montana with the .44 mag and my .45 Colt Blackhawks.

It would be a great gun to bounce around in the pickup on a farm. Yes, ugly

I know everyone thinks you need more but 850 fps with any 250 gr will kill just about anything in the USA if you do your part. I wouldn't go after Griz but I also would not use any handgun on them...
One thing nice about Unique is that it responds well to reduced loads so you can cut it down to 6 grains and use it for plinking, or get the Lee 200 grain RNFP for less recoil.
For my Bersa .380 I load 2.2 grs of BE with a Lee 102RN. Light but cycle the action just fine and shoot good.

Ruger dropped it due to extreme top strap erosion/cutting from the gas velocity. I have shot the Dan Wesson 357 Max and it's loud.

So far the three mule deer I've shot with my Ruger BH with just about the same spec load you've listed never needed a second shot. I'm shooting the 7 1/2 inch but the 5 1/2 inch should be easier for...

I've been using hardwood sawdust bagged for smokers that I bought from a meat store. Also works for smoking sausage.

It's worth it to have a gunsmith just run a proper reamer in it and get it right.
Big round nose bullet slow will just poke a hole through them without to much damage. I've shot them and also flickertail gophers with a 340 gr Lyman and about 6 grains of Unique. They just fell down.
