Smoke made a good point about using snap-caps on this gun. A cheap snap-cap is a #6 drywall anchor, 12 for $0.97 at Walmart.

I got my GSG-1911 a few weeks ago and love it. Lot's of fun for plinking. Originally I wanted a .22 conversion slide but few of the more reasonable ones operated like a 1911. The GSG has a slide...

I have this sight on my 10/22 and it's a difference of night and day over the open sights. I'm 69 and it really helps my old eyes to focus on the target.

I had the same problem starting out and ended up getting lead on ebay. It was more expensive than scrap but it did get me started. Enjoy.

I got my felt from Duro-Felt in Little Rock, I think it was $18 for a 18" x 36" piece. It's 1/8" and they specify on their website that it's for black powder wads. A 6 piece punch set on ebay cost...

I'm starting to believe you don't like Lee products :)

No you don't seem to be bashing Lee, you just bash the people who like their products

I've been lurking a long time and only submitted a few posts. There is SO much information on this site that I can find what I want through a search. Thanks, guys.

If it wasn't for Lee products I wouldn't be on this forum in the first place because if I would have needed a large cash outlay I wouldn't have started reloading. Now that I know how enjoyable it is...

I got an 1851 Pietta .44 cal. and it shot great. Ran through my starter kit in short order, and most of my CCI #11 caps. Browsing through the forum I thought it would be a good idea to replace the...

Gold is good for storing money but I doubt it would be useful as currency. I can't go to the grocery store and pay with a piece of gold, the gas station either, or any of the businesses around here....

I think you are right, dragonrider. When I got to the bottom of the barrel I found something that looked like floor sweepings, and it was damp.
It looks like it's tourist season here. When...

Thanks. I'm also assuming it's not OK to sneak my wife's favorite serving spoon back into the drawer? ;)

I started casting so I could shoot my .45 more but this seems to be a hobby in itself. Did get off to a shaky start, though. After a hot miserable day at work I found out UPS delivered my melting...
