I know what the bore sizes are, but wanting to know how thick the barrels were, or the outside diameters of some of the 6 and 8 bore rifles. Thanks.

Im wanting to know approximate barrel dimensions for the old 6 & 8 bore muzzleloading, single shot rifles.( breech and muzzle od. ) TIA.
Ed, if I get a nef 12 ga. ultra slug shotgun bored out for a 3.5" shell, what kind of pressures will this gun hold up to, and what loads would you use? Thanks, and I really have enjoyed reading about...
