Afternoon everyone,
No particular reason, just general curiosity more than anything honestly. :) I've got a .44 Mag and a .45 Colt, was just curious to see if there were/are any "thumper" loads...
Morning again guys,
Anyone have any cast pet load data for the .30 carbine they'd be willing to share?
Due to the scarcity (ie expense) of shooting jacketed, I'm looking to try some...
Morning all,
I've heard rumblings of some heavy loads for .45 auto, reportedly there was some writings doe this done back in the 80s?
Anyone have any data like this they'd be willing to share?...
I'd say for rifles, 30-06 no question. Pistols, definitely .38/357, a winning combo with virtually unmatched versatility.
Sounds good! I'll definitely bookmark that page here, would definitely like to load up some "service" rounds for the '06 and .308 also, great calibers for sure.
Appreciate the help guys!
Sounds good on the above-referenced sources, I think a fellow caster had a copy of the 4th generation Lyman book I can borrow to look through.
Thanks very much!
Tom
Afternoon all,
I'm looking to get into casting for rifles, and will be using the venerable '06 as my guinea pig. Recently came into a couple RCBS molds, so I think we're well on the way.
Would...

Hi there fellows,
Just thought I'd toss this out and ask, is Ballist-cast, the company that bought H&G, have they too gone the way of the dodo? I've seen a few things online, and some photos of...

Makes sense, I'll try to track down one of those roll crimp dies for my 1917, normal 1911 works just fine with the taper crimp!
Thanks guys!

Sounds good, looks like I'll have to keep an eye out for the RCBS roll crimp die then, is that an older one by any chance?
Good deal on the LEE die sets, that's good to know.
Many thanks!

Morning all,
Had a question that was posed the other day at the range...did they ever make a roll crimp die for .45 auto/auto rim? If such a critter was made, how hard are they to find these days?...
