It states the length as 6mm and I believe it needs to be about 30mm. I only saw lengths in that thread pitch go from 6mm to 20mm.
Am I missing something?
Would you mind sharing where you bought the M3.5-0.6 socket head screws?
What gun were you shooting it out of? Only time I ever saw a case ripped like that by firing was in a custom Contender barrel. My belief on that gun was the chamber was slightly short and a heavy...
I never understood the light on a home defense gun, if there is a bad guy and he is armed it makes a great target for him to shoot. I always keep the light separate from the gun and hold it away...
I've fired 12 round groups out of a GP-100 using commercial cast bullets that stayed under 2 inches at 50 yards (scoped gun off a rest). Then did it twice more just to prove it was a good load. ...

I've bought from that seller, always went smooth.

I'm not sure if your Co-ax is different from mine or if you never actually tried the primer seating function. I am not limited to a depth, at least not before I can practically crush the primer down...

If it is working fine I would use the RCBS die without the expander. Expanders stretch the neck and do nothing good for your loads if you are looking for accuracy. That is why the benchrest crowd...
I wouldn't mind trying them but if they did work where would I get more? Unless you have bullets for sale or know where I can purchase more it would be like tasting something good but not being able...
I've always had to smile when I read on the internet where individuals state 686s will generally be more accurate than a GP100. Being lucky enough to have put several dozen of each through grueling...
I appreciate all of the input guys.
Old Castor, thanks for the offer but I have plenty of swaged bullets for the target loads and will save the "Hard Cast" bullets for upper end loads.
OP here with an update. I've found my bevel base bullets (all commercial cast) will actually shoot when stoked with 13grs of 2400. For some reason they don't want to shoot well at target...
Paul, you hit the proverbial "Nail on the Head" as some shooters find hitting a pie plate at 10yards to be great accuracy. My standards are a little higher. Maybe not quite as high as yours, the...
Sorry to hear you are having problems with your gun, that is always frustrating.
Anything I've ever read by Chuck was full of mis-information so I avoid reading his stuff now.

I'd shoot them in a 44 revolver if you have access to one. Preferably a Ruger Super Blackhawk or Redhawk. Then reload some true target loads for your Dad to enjoy. I've heard the old Marlins could...
I've shot 230gr bullets in my GP-100. It all depends on how you seat them.
I can tell you the Hornady 180gr XTP HP with dual crimp groves would just barely fit into my Blackhawk cylinder when...
I've found several lead loads that will clean out a leaded barrel just by normal shooting. My favorite for the 357Mag is the Zero swaged bullet and 5.6grs of Power Pistol. Not only does this load...
Larry, Thanks!
Here I am trying to figure out why the cast SWCs don't shoot as well and didn't even notice the base difference. Guess that doesn't say much for my observation techniques.
I...
I've experimented extensively with various crimp levels and dies and have found as long as you don't over crimp and deform the bullet it is hard to measure any discernible accuracy difference.
I...
Larry, I don't cast and have tried the SnS, Dardas, and Laser Cast 158gr SWC bullets. They are ordered at .358 size and that is what my micrometer measures. I've stuck with these three makers...
I use a Redding Profile crimp or Lee taper crimp. I have 4 of the 38/357 Redding Profile crimp dies and only one has enough clearance to size .358 boolits without squeezing them down to a smaller...
I've tried several quality cast SWC boolits in my numerous 357Mag revolvers for accuracy. With the SnS Casting's 158gr FP I have loads that will consistently stay under 3inches at 50yards for 12...
My original 617 will shot into 1 1/2 inches at 50 yards but it must be fed target type rounds or subsonic. It does not like most high velocity rounds and they lead up the forcing cone quite quickly....
